It wasn't like it is now where wrestlers can seamlessly go from being a big indie star to instantly being over in WWE, it was a completely different league back then. This is why it took until 2013/14 for Daniel Bryan to be pushed in WWE despite already being a massive indie star for a decade, Punk might not have had his break in WWE until that same time if Jeff Hardy didn't help him get over

Honestly he wasn't drugged. This was done very early in the morning. I've been up early in the morning myself dragging my ass outta bed groggy and shit. just like this. and im not on drugs. if he was on drugs wwe would have fired hi and not him quitting. tna wouldnt have hired him either. which was around the time this video was done. just cause a guy has slurred speech and is groggy doesnt mean hes drunk or drugged. there was no physical evidence of it either. it wasnt even in his system. besides you can clearly tell he was exhausted and woken up early with not much sleep. ive had that. its not drugs. hes done it before. but not this time. and hes been clean for years thanks to his wife and the birth of his daughter changing him a few years ago.

Im probably the biggest hardy mark and simultaneously the biggest punk mark as well which is funny but Jeff did in fact not make punk wtf lmaooo punk was busting his ass on the indies for years and helping to make ring of honor an incredible place before he even got to wwe and when he did get there he was constantly proving he was the best even if the suits in charge didn’t like him or want him to be. If anything their feud helped propel each other to incredible heights because it takes two to tango and they’re both incredible.
