Drought Hay. Half The Bales

Ойын-сауық

We are only getting half as many bales this year from last year. Grasshoppers are bad!

Really enjoy the ride alongs in your field! I can almost smell the hay. The only thing missing is a gallon jug of iced tea and George Strait playing in the background. But the sound of the big diesel engines will do as well.

Welcome to the club guys.. summer #5 of drought down here.. were lucky to get a half crop. Good grass hay in small bales is from $10 to $40 a bale. I've seen $450/ton😳 I like the segmented cutter bars! But yes, pain in the ass checking oil!

We had a hell of a drought here in south central IN but are pretty much out of it now. The downside to that however is all the rain has come in the form of some pretty severe thunderstorms. 2 farms north of me, one at almost exactly 3 miles got wiped out by a tornado March 31st.

@@nellsonstout7001 that sucks! We usually have 3"-6" in June.. 2"-3" in July. May is usually 3"-10"... First of May we had 1.5"... June 1st we got 7/10".. and it's the fifth year of no summer rain.

What sucks more is we had 6 inches in 8 days just east of Edmonton in mid - end of June. And he probably didn't get much of that :( I know its about 300km away. But you would think a weather front that lasts 8 days long would cover greater area.
