Dropping BIG PERCH For PIER GIANTS! (Juno Pier Snook Fishing)

Ойын-сауық

Dropping Big perch for some pier giants is a great way to target snook in the summer time. Fishing for big snook from Juno Pier can be effective if you have the right bait, large sand perch like in the thumbnail are great baits for the huge over-slot snook. Fishing for snook from the Pier usually requirers some unconventionally large fishing rods and reels. I will use a huge set-up with 60-80lb mainline in hopes of safely landing a monster snook. Big snook from the pier can be caught other ways, however fishing for snook like this is my preferred method.

    Love the Juno Pier videos, me and my dad used to fish there from the time it opened through 2008, brings back a lot of good memories. Now I'm in Red Tide Land (Tampa Bay) so I'll just be watching other people catch fish for a few months.

    George Moody my uncle used to own the Juno Motel -- a small 8-room (and he lived in one of them) right by the OLD wooden pier There were no high-rises, beach houses -- just his motel, a gas station/convenience store and a small diner. My Mom and Dad took my sister and me up there from Miami every so often and we would fish and swim for a few days. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that was when I was 10 and that was 1958.

  • @RyanMorie

    @RyanMorie

    3 жыл бұрын

    More like a 10000PG. The 6k doesn’t nearly have the cranking power you’d really want. Additionally you’d want to add a heavier mono top shot like (40-50lb) as braid is very unforgiving on these pilings.

The guy beside me was fishing for BoBos and was watching me jig it through the water while high up on the pier like that, we were both like “Oh My, Damnn” we just stop for a second, make eye contact and continue to fish like it never happened.
