That said, you are making a very wise decision to set yourself up for success throughout your life. Go with confidence that you made a good decision for "future Hunter". The Over-Rat must have these things: 1. A solar backed battery bank with plenty of inverter for lots of lights and power. 2. Pull out or fold out cook top. 3. A 90° swing out awning to cover the side and rear access. 4. Slide out cabinets ideally including a small refrigerator. 5. Tent on top.

Thank you for addressing that. I wish Hunter the absolute best in Life ahead of him. It really really sucks when someone randomly disappears from a channel and nothing is every said about it. Thats is one of the reasons I quit watching MORR. How many people have left that channel and its like they just vanished and were never there. You dont know if they were hurt, or were having challenges in life, or were starting a channel of their own, or whatever. It just feels so disrespectful to them. You guys are such a class act and I could just listen to you banter away about anything. It's like listening to friends

That’s been true except for when Ben left. That one was very different. It was barely even mentioned, and Ben wasn’t even in the video to talk about it and has never been around since. There was definitely some sort of falling out there. I think it depends on the circumstances of why people leave. Other channels I’ve watched will say when and why people are leaving, except when there’s a falling out of some sort, which is the same thing that’s happened on this channel. Sometimes it’s just not easy to talk about why someone left.

@@jesseleesamples I see what you mean. Though I remember his wife being on in a clip explaining further. If those were the real reasons mentioned, I don't know. I also find it a bit odd we didn't get the explanation from Ben himself. That he's not around might also be influenced by him living further away? Anyhow, yes there are some differences there. But at least we get a notification and some sort of explanation. I don't know if you watch Matt's off-road recovery? There it seems to be a rule that people disappear into thin air.

I believe Ben leaving was several matters however this is my simple conjecture. Distance traveling, living in a camper, building a house for his family, being left more and more to do dirty jobs. I appreciate Paul's kids feeling they needed to be supported in school activities, but then too, you can only leave a business so much before you loose employees unless you are making sure you are giving them plenty of monetary support, sharing in the booty that comes from sponsors, review company booty, profits and a few other things. Sharing the wealth heels a lot of time away from the shop when someone feels appreciated in all those ways. Miss Ben in the shop, also miss Ben in the shop with Sean and Hunter. Now the three that has really grown the channel since they all came aboard have flown the coup and doubtfully will return. Wish Paul and family all the best.

  • @jesseleesamples

@@pieterv6984 His wife said a little bit about it but it was easy to see that there was a lot more to it than they were letting on. The fact that the guy himself never really said what was going on was really odd. Whatever happened seems to have caused a rift and that’s sad. Sometimes we’re not owed an explanation for everything tho. Sometimes things are personal and the people involved may not wish for it to be everyone on the internet’s business. Yes I watch MORR, and most of the time anyone leaves, it’s talked about quite a bit and shown on video. I’m not really sure how you think that everyone just leaves and never gets talked about again cause that’s just not true. Sometimes the people involved may not want their business put out to the world tho. The only instance I can think of where someone left and wasn’t talked about and was never seen again later was Randy. That was pretty early on tho and I think since then they’ve tried to always let the audience know if people are leaving and why.

In Australia, Ground sheet (we use shade cloth as the sand falls through and stops the underside of the tent condensation and clean.) tent, pets, guy ropes, self inflating mats, folding table, chairs, gas cooker, car fridge, water, solar bag for hot shower, pop up shower room, every one takes some wood for the night time fire, some cook on this fire. The best thing is base camping for at least a week, and not in a camp ground. We have now graduated to a camper trailer. A bit more posh. A camper trailer is not a caravan.

I certainly don’t blame him for getting a college degree. I didn’t complete my degree until I was 36 and had 2 children and that was tough but worth the struggle! I wish Hunter & Shawn the BEST!

You've been threw hell and still come out on top. They arnt gone. They are just moving forward. Goals of life.

An exhaust pipe up the side [with a heat shield] for deep water forging. An example was on the Hummer you had in the shop. Roof top tent and awning. The outdoor shower is nice for both an enclosed porta potty and shower . Spare fuel tanks and water. Max tracs.. Mollie plates for accessories. Chainsaw mount. Shovel and camp axe. Some form of tire air system. Something for cooking and a cooler of some form. Camp chairs. Trash bag. Camping utensils... Slow crawling mode. Power supply. Minimal yet functional necessities for living and being comfortable. Plus, being able to navigate the terrain. An overlanding vehicle is a jack of all trades vehicle. Good luck, Hunter, in your new adventure. No doubt you will find happiness and success. Shaun the same to you as well. Look forward to seeing you on your channel. Continuing success and best wishes to you both.

Hunter since you are going to college my hat is off to you. You may be a fab rat but your an energetic young man who will learn to appreciate education. I waited till I was 31 to start college and even though I ended up with the opposite job I wanted I could apply everything I learned in that position. I even corrected a 100 year old problem saving the company millions.

Hunter, I wish you the best! Paul, I have some priorities for an overland build (if it were my personal overlander). 400-500W portable solar generator. This could power the mini fridge, charging duties for laptop, drone, phones, and lights. Slide-in camp kitchen. I’ve seen some pretty good setups that fold up and slide into the back of vehicles with similar real estate in the back of that Willys. Mounts for Rotopax fuel and water cells. Pressurized external water tank that can be mounted on the pop-tent frame. On-board air compressor. And the number one thing I see people forget on overlanders: a spare tire and mount. Just some ideas…

He's not just filming but he's fixing stuff, he's fabricating, he's wheeling and over all matured so much (well as much maturity as the shop gets 😉) Also good luck to Shaun. Looking forward to a YT colab in the future.
