Dive into the creative minds behind FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH in this short film created as part of an exciting new collaboration between Porsche and SQUARE ENIX.
Join Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura, Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Naoki Hamaguchi as they hit the streets of Tokyo in two iconic Porsche 911 cars - a classic Carrera 4S (type 993) model from 1997, the same year that the original FINAL FANTASY VII was released, and the latest 2024 Carrera GTS (type 992). Here they reflect on the legacy of FINAL FANTASY VII and explain what it was like to dream up this groundbreaking RPG when there were no existing roads to follow.

Tetsuya Nomura is a legend. I'm a kingdom hearts fan and like my cayman so it's strangely satisfying to see this interview.
You should've added a 911 into the game in one way or another. I mean you guys pulled it out in Cyberpunk 2077 with the 930.

Safety regulations my friends. The 993 and prior generations had much thinner, less bulkier frames. The new 911’s are technological marvels, give me any 911 any day.

I was driving these Tokyo roads in a 964 Carrera 2 and a 964 Carrera RS. Both are Guards Red. That was already 30 years ago.
I love FF and Porsche, I was excited to see some kind of collaboration... But this feels feels weird as it's just a "we are both creative" message.
