Driving Around Africa's Confluence City Lokoja, Kogi State Nigeria

Formerly the capital of Kabba province, Lokoja was part of Kwara from 1967 to 1991, when it became the capital of the newly formed state of Kogi. The modern town is a collecting point for cotton, leather, and palm oil and kernels, which are shipped to the Niger delta ports of Burutu and Warri for export.

So this is lokoja.... I just saw yahaya bello's campaign add on channels TV... He didn't show any videos or talk about what he's done in his state.... For someone to come out to say he wants to rule Nigeria and leave his own state underdeveloped is really outrageous. Lokoja is in a poor infrastructural mess... Look at the bad roads... Potholes everywhere.

Loved this. Lokoja is very picturesque indeed. It's amazing how the British colonial footprint is left in similar fashion in many of it's former colonies. Lokoja looks like many parts of Jamaica with its hills and mountains. Amazing. Have always wanted to get a better view of this city. Thanks for the tour bro. Weldone.

Good drive video in a city with dilapidated city roads. I do not know why this is always the case with most Nigerian city roads except for Abuja. I saw the same condition in Nnewi city roads. I wonder if this condition of the road is all over Lokoja City. Lokoja is a city with lots of history, the city government should use the allocated federal/local funds to fix their city roads. The economy of a city depends on good infrastructure. Thanks for sharing @David Nkwa. God bless.

Do you have the depression at last? i dont think so. Go out there and see things by yourself and don't be a dullard. There are so many developmental strides out here that even the blind can feel. And Mr Poster, the Flyover you said he's not serious about is completed now I hope youll be back to retake the shot and pack your vomit

Great video! lately I've read about the current governor of Kogi wanting to be president of Nigeria. After watching this great video, I'm begging to find out what exactly he did in Kogi that he wants to do for Nigeria. I know there is more to Kogi than this video but still could somebody point me to something he's' done so well that he's been everywhere saying he wants to repeat what he's achieved in Kogi for Nigeria. I am trying to have unbiased viewpoint of where he's coming from. Unless of course the city was in very bad shape when he took over, I see very little to brag about in terms of development . Please if you can point me to a list of what he's done, I'll appreciate it.
