Driving 2,700 miles through the Atacama Desert | Chile (road trip vlog)
Our week-long road trip through the oldest and driest desert on Earth showcased spectacular varied landscapes, from salt flats to snow-covered volcanos, home to flamingos and llamas, and some of the most fascinating geological history of our spectacular planet! We camped in a tent, stargazed at the milky way, and barely made it out alive after smashing the rental car on a very sketchy mining road.

What an epic journey (in an ever longer series of epic journeys) my friend! As always, loved the music choices. Chris votes YES PLEASE on the peanut butter burritos and Kate votes PASS (but yoga makes her angry so should we even count that vote?🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love the pics at the end, especially those night sky pix, so gorgeous! Just in time! I was in the front of my computer when you just uploaded the video, and instantly i pushed the like button, because i knew that it will be another stunning video, and guess what? I was right Lays chips never missing from my basket also, I love them. That combo of tortilla, nutella and bananas was extraordinary, also enjoyed it. There where places that sometimes gave me the sensation of a crash scene. Ohh, Brooke take care, because with a copilot that feeds you with everything that gets in her hand, it is really dangerous regarding the weight point of view 😁 The hand of desert and that fantastic landscape with the sunset was really nice, and I also had the sensation that you walk on the moon, or a part of the moon at the earth 🙂 Loved that guy who sew his goods while he has been waiting the customers 😄 The bottom of the "ocean" was another stunning thing, never seen before... The flamingo looked like she was dancing, so cute 🧡 I had a feeling that you are at the end of the world sometimes, because there were so nice landscapes. That phrase "another day in paradise" and behind you there was two seats laid down and looked like a real girl's room, everything just dropped down 😁 At the end I was glad that you managed to repair the radiator and if it ever happens that I need to drive in the desert, or sure I will choose Hyundai 👍 Thank you again for another spectacular and enjoyable footage, every time I enjoy them and wait for the other one 😍 Cheeeeerrss ! ❤❤❤

200 millions years before, in the jurassic period, there was and ocean in that zone , but the salt lakes you visited were formed in the early Cenozoic Era , more than 180 millions of years after Jurassic period. Many of that salt lakes have a quaternary age.
You needed an off road vehicle on those rough sand roads, a small car is not the best rental choice, the trip,looked fun anyway ✌️❤️🇬🇧
