Thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
After getting to Warragul in the last video, I was overjoyed to see this was available to watch. This may sound silly, but you are inspiring me to become a rail advocate. Seeing whats going down in Vic. is making me jealous, but in a good way. 😁

You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Both lines from Pakkenham to taralgon are designed for two way running usueally the higher speed line is used for the peak direction of travel. ballarat geelong and bendigo lines have sections where the same conditions prevail

Not any more on the Ballarat and Geelong lines.

@@lachlanbaker2031 Geelong is still bidirectional from Manor Junction to the outskirts of Geelong but we don't usually switch lines on the Geelong. 👍😀

@@driver667 sorry I forgot about that. I was thinking of the section from Sunshine to Deer Park West which used to be bi-directional but isn’t anymore post RRL.

Fairly honkin along. Judging by the freeway to his right, 110 - 115 kph? What speed was an N capable of, in regular pass service?
@lachlanbaker2031

115kph.

@@lachlanbaker2031 is on the money. 115kph is the limit for an N class locomotive. 👍😀
why does it run on right side instead of left?

Driver likes to ride on the wild side. 😆 On a more serious note (A#🎵) the tracks are signalled for bidirectional running and the one on the right in this direction has a higher speed limit. Not that the N can make full use of this - unless our driver notches it up to 11. 🤣

As stated, the tracks are bidirectional with this south track being the higher speed track. Generally the morning runs in on the fast track and the afternoon runs out on the fast track. (I've tried but I just can't get an N class past notch 8 🤔🤣🤣) 👍😀
