why are they saying the ceratos driveability is bad? Car feels great in the corners and i even took at a 120kmh round a very tight corner and it felt completely planted.

Mazda 6 speed no good, trust me, test drive already, Mazda CX-5 so underpowered, because of the gearbox, rpm didn't even go up, then shift already.

i bought both civic 2013 (9th) and kia cerato 2014 . the civic was stolen after 1 year . then i bought the kia cerato (sejuk skit) in 2014. the k3 still running good until now (sep 2022)

@@rayuo my kia is still doing fine at 180k km you need to do your homework first dude, honda also not reliable today due to cvt , i like mazda/toyota than honda, you only listen the good thing because they didnt tell you the truth , my uncle estima also broke down,gearbox kena turun also , honda city gearbox can cost you 15k, i can say some continental cars are not reliable , but lot of japanese use takata airbags, not as safety as the continental , read more about takata airbags, or follow group on specific car brand, then you know ...

For best price and cool features,i would choose the kia cerato 2.0. It has the highest horsepower continued by Mazda3 and Corrolla Altis.Even the corolla Altis has CVT gearbox and mazda 3 introduced its latest skyactiv,the Cerato still wins in fuel economy.Not only that,the Cerato awarded NHTSA 5 star safety with 6 airbags and active features.I don't guess the bodyr oll will be the major disadvantage for the Cerato as you still have 3 modes to choose your driving style.These guys didn't mention that.Although the mazda design with theme of KODO(soul of motion),remember the kia is designed by world best designer P.Shreyer and it always tops of all the D segment.

Can you guys please ditch the jokes, i find them to be really dry. Honestly, i never chuckled throughout all your funny parts, only parts i did find funny is when you are commenting/criticizing the cars. Ever since my dad rolled his Camry and the constant electrical issues with our Vellfire. I lost all confidence in Toyota. Prefer the 3 and Cerato. Just my opinion though

Well the car is fine in terms of mechanical stuff. However, its actually the electronic items that fail in the car . For instance, the sun roof, electric boot release and the entertainment unit had quite some issues

I dunno man, mazda3 is the boss here in america. it just doesn't get as much attention because of the small number of dealerships. the mazda3 has the best styling in its class too imo.

If value of money the Cerato K3 will certainly the chosen one with the spec given. Mazda 3 is always doing well in performance but it is common known as smallest cabin among Japanese car. Altis is always known as good in fuel consumption, but it was weak in performance. I have no idea why the paul tan fella rate K3 bad in cornering because Altis will certain doing worse than it. It is simply, Altis has the softest suspension among trio. Soft suspension will certainly give a good ride comfort in straight road or over bumper, but it is absolutely weak with serious body rolling during corner. My ideal ranking is 1st K3, 2nd Mazda 3 and last Altis.

I juz bought toyota altis 1.8g The seats are very comfortable and the speed at not bad also 👍🏻 I'm very satisfied with this car 👍🏻👍🏻

What are your comments between a Civic 2.0 and Altis 2.0?

cerato is the best as you'll get more features for less price.

And oh, btw KIA cars are designed by former Audi Designer. Thats why Most of the latest models of Kia are looking cool and sexy.

Those 3 cars really do looked great, never fails to standout on the road. In terms of performance and driving dyanamics, the mazda3 beats all of them hands down. In terms of spaciousness and comfort, the altis will be the clear option here while in terms of bang for the buck, the cerato offers most toys at the lowest price, but you lose out drivability. All 3 cars are good, of course the altis and mazda are kind of day light robbery, offering very little specs and toys at price near 140 grand, but after all this is Malaysia, isn't it?

Why don't we have the Altis model in the U.S.?

Toyota's safety emphasis is low with only 2 air bags given for the basic model and also in accord 2.0l. Its high time they woke up to reality.

Odd result. Most reviews in the US, Australia and Canada award the Mazda 1st place. Never heard CVT and good in the same sentence. The Corolla version of it has never received praise until now. The Skyactiv transmission in the 3 however has always been given a lot of praise. You need to re-test la.

​@@lucas_2612 that was a reply from 6 years ago. But my comment aligned with a change Toyota made. My comment 6 years ago was that CVT and good have never been heard in the same sentence. Although cars do vary around the world, all Corollas had a terrible CVT transmission (this included Australia and the US). Since then, Toyota decided that the CVT transmission was so widely panned, that they added a fixed gear. From Toyota's website: "Because CVTs are typically less efficient off the line, Toyota has added a traditional fixed first gear to the system to serve as a launch gear." They call this the Direct Shift-CVT. But it does take a very bad transmission and make it useable. It's regarded as one of the best CVT's on the market though (but CVT's are still a poor transmission for anyone who likes the driving experience).

Oh give me a break!!! The corolla and cerato still use a digital clock that looks like a casio watch from the 80's. The 3 looks and feels a million times better and has an up to date driveline under the bodywork unlike the same old crap from toyota and kia. You get what you pay for.

mazda 3 gearbox reaction slow? feeling just about the right? please refer to overseas review, mazda 3 has fastest and reponsive gearbox among the C segment. better than DSG

Civic 2016? Honda CVT is not a plus point. Make sure you sell before you reach 100,000km. Ask your friends who had a Honda Jazz / City with a CVT what happened.

Honestly, after test driving both the Cerato and the Altis a few years ago, I would buy the Altis... if I had insomnia. That car would put me to sleep everytime, all the time. It's the most bland, most boring car I've ever driven...

good stuff, nice video. but i really don't understand the views on handling,drive and gearboxes. really bizarre views. quick shifting is desirable but the review says something else. cvts smooth out shifts but the reviewers can call that sporty.. it's not when you don't feel shifts. and Speaking in superlatives doesn't make sense.weird that you would call any modern gearbox rubbish when the differences are so subtle. very different from any other car review from anywhere in the world, in a bizarre way

The Mazda 3 definitely stands out amongst this group. Its looks have not become dated even after 3 years being out, while others have. It is the best all around package.

CVT is good for minimizing fuel consumption but it does not feel nice to drive. I used to own a Honda car with CVT. It saved me a hundred bucks in fuel but it cost me few thousand to repair.

None of the 3 machines here beats VW jetta in terms of ride comfort and handling.

This episode is about the C-Segment saloons gone forward with the B-Segments to the D-Segments it is not interesting too big and it doesn't suit your need so go to the C-Segments that suit your needs. My rankings are 1. Toyota Corolla Altis 2. Kia Cerato 3. Mazda3

If you looking value for money kia is winners. If you prefer for handling and performance mazda is much better.

Correction, najis and barisan nasional is robbing the rakyat big time. We pay 2.5 times more for the price of cars, if you have 2 cars in your driveway, youre paying for 5 cars. If you have 3 cars in your driveway, you are paying for 7.5 cars, no wonder malaysians are so poor.

These Guys are not RELIABLE ANYMORE, So much inconsistency with their details. And oh BTW, Between these 3, KIA CERATO is the best for me. Easy and fun to drive, Worth the price. Great exterior and interior also.
