I sat in this car. Totally acceptable. Very good car. It's up to the standard for these days. Much more luxurious. No compare with Germans. But very well done compare with Mazda. Interior....I find Honda is a bit out of date. Hope they improve.

Just test-drove one today. It's silky smooth and quiet. So impressed

Toyota in SIngapore is totally non existence as they bought me in circle without any answers to the many problem that plagued the Altis, including "knocking" noises when driving off, inaccurate GPS, failed ignition due to failure to detect keys, noise when reversing and many more

For such a price range, Toyota should not give ugly lever for opening the petrol and boot...in addition to the ugly clock.

No.. different countries different variant.. we only got 1.8litre with 7 speed auto and 2.0 litre with 7 speed sequential auto... W don't offer diesel for any sedan or hatchback car in malaysia

Toyota collorra SEG still pretty good...

The ONLY thing I don't like is the reverse camera pictures do not have guidelines and blurry, for that premium price! Toyota is not a new player in auto industry! How could they missed that. The later 2.0V batch has it. Toyota should offer the replacement foc!

i think of buy toyota new corolla altis or new honda civic with turbo which will be better choice? any good suggestion?

if you read on papers, you will tend to see Civic as the better one, but if you drive back to back, you will know that altis feels better , the refinement is there. so, have you bought urs ?

Toyota cars are the best.

There is an information on İnternet, where written that engine is using with CVT or 4 gears simple automatic gearbox. Do you have information about which cars is using automatic and which is CVT? Is there some differents between this cars? I mean how can I understand which gearbox is in my car (toyota corolla 2,0)

is this model (Altis) going to be available in the US?

Kengaroo Ang it's not about the price, the same malaysian corolla is sold is middle east with cheaper price. Car price is higher in malaysia because of import tax. US corolla looks different has cvt transmission because of other reasons

The door closing sound at 4:19 proves that the door is tin kosong, bad for passenger's safety. Instead of improving the engine efficiency, Toyota has always trying to play punk by reducing the overall metal thickness to reduce fuel consumption. Go open and close a VW Polo's door and you'll get what I mean.

Darren Chong Nah, the one i tested was the RM88k polo which was originally launched for India market. It has no DSG, just conventional 6 speed automatic.

Felix Lau actually that one for India, is even produced in India, and it's totally different to a German version, it's like compare a Merc to the PROTON. But DSG or 6S - both have troubles... even in Germany. it's a long term VW-trouble known from 1980s. ( thanx to Piëch)...
