I could be wrong but I'm sure he influenced the sorta modern day cyberpunk themes of blue and pink with the choices he made for colour grading Drive. After all the intro theme kicked off synthwave. Now, a decade later it's what helped him get placed in Blade Runner 2049 after Harrison saw Drive and I'm sure has been used for inspiration for many artworks and films.

Considering the director can't drive, his opening scene shows a lot of understanding of driving. Real speed rather than over speed, elegant, weighty and beautiful to watch. One of my very favorite car sequences ever. I actuality thought the director must be a driving fanatic, possibly a weekend racer.
