My son is in 5th grade, autistic and low verbal. He used to be terribly afraid of bees so we have encouraged education to ease his fears. He has been enjoying your channel for some time and today said, "I love Wasp Hunter." Thank you for sharing your interests and skills with the world. Love from Wisconsin, USA.

Hey, I'm in my 30s and still terribly afraid of these guys lol. Probably because I've been stung enough times to know how painful it is and how scary it is to get swarmed. If I had watched stuff like this as a kid, who knows maybe I wouldn't have such a phobia of wasps & hornets. Best of luck with your son.

THATS AMAZING :D
A neighbor had a basket-ball sized bald-face hornet nest on the corner of their eves, pretty close to my pool. He unloaded 3 cans of spray into the nest one night. The next morning you could not tell he did anything. I puffed a little dust into the main entrance a few nights later. The next day there was no activity whatsoever at the nest, and we were able to take it down - no bee suit, no hornets, no stings. Used the nest for educational purposes with my kids... Drione is amazing! I have been using it for about 25 years now.
I stepped on a ground nest when I was about 7 and I found out they can fly faster than I could run. Got stung a lot and it hurt! The last time I got stung I was walking on an abandoned railroad track and they got me 3 times on the same ankle and actually left scars. That crunching sound when you squish them is so satisfying, feels like I finally get a little taste revenge by watching your videos.

The active ingrediant in Drione is silica so it kills the wasps by dehydrating them and essentially removing their exoskeletons. This is why they roll around like that as they basically have no functional bones left by the end.

You are incorrect. The active ingredient is the pyrethrin. The silica is a secondary kill of there is a resistance to the pyrethrin.
The crunching of their heads, is surprisingly satisfying.
Not to sound morbid or anything, but am I the only one that enjoys hearing their heads being crushed between your fingers, or are there others as well?🤷♂️😂
It might just be me, this was a 20 min vid that felt like five. I really liked this removal of a huge nest. Thank you! Your vids are getting so much better. love it my friend:)

The sound of them pinging off the ladder is insane! They were huge!
Good sized nest! Was interesting how they seemed so confused, attacking each other instead of you, and how quickly that Drione was working.
“This dudes break dancing “….lol Love it
You should invest in a bee pole it’ll keep you off the ladder it’s much more safer and faster, great video.
When I used to do pest control, I used Drione quite a bit for yellow jackets when their nest was tucked up behind something where spray couldn't get to it. I never used it on a big ass hornets nest like that. It's pretty cool to see it in action.
Dude, when you’re tearing the nest down I can see that Drione powder airborne . You need a respirator so you are not sucking that powder in. Next thing we’ll see is you tweaking out from that Drione. Lol. Be careful dude! That shit works. 😊

The dust seems like it was clogging your applicator. Great job on everything as usual! And sorry about Tua and his injury!
I just killed a huge bald-faced hornets nest that was maybe a little larger than that one. But it was about waste/chest high on our power disconnect/meter on the side of the house. I was going to let them die off in the cold temps and than remove the nest, until one stung me well away from their nest. That meant war. I bought the commercial Raid hornet spray and let them have it. Amazing how quickly they died and how many unhatched larva was inside that nest... Thumbs Up! And yes, their sting will absolutely get your attention instantly...

Might sound crazy but try adding cornstarch to that powder It may keep it from sticking to itself while not diluting it enough to make a difference
Natural pyrethrum with PBO is a good flushing agent in many other formulations too, like foggers and aerosol sprays. Because it actually agitates insects, and hence the faster knock down effect. The new Drione seems to have non toxic silica gel for residual effect, mostly drying out crawling insects. I wouldn't use it for residual effect, though. Permethrin, deltamethrin and cypermethrin are still go-to for crawlies. For pyrethroid-resistant strains with added novelty pesticide flupyradifurone (because our EU avocado-hipsters decided to put restrictions on neonicotinoids), I've had good results with it this summer for those nigh-immune to pyrethroids fruit flies.
Great stuff, wish I would've found your videos sooner, had a few bee nest in walls around our place this year and no way to get rid of them, your videos have gave some great info on how get rid of them.
That knock down was pretty amazing. I usually have to see them covered in delta for them to just fall like that. I'll be using this next year

‘This guys breakdancing!’ 😆😆
Drione is the best. It is a bit on the expensive side. Which is why I only use it where there is lots of human activity like near a sidewalk or house entrance. Other than that I use tempo dust. As for ground wasps I opt for Delta dust as it works well for damp areas.

I've used Delta dust for pretty much every wasp/bee issue I've had and works fine. We also get cicada killers every year and for those I just grab a can of beer and a tennis racquet and just swing and smack them. The can of beer is just to drink.
Drione is hands down the best dust for angry and defensive wasps and yellowjackets. I have been preaching it for years. There’s nothing better. Not Tempo. Not Evergreen. Not Delta. Nothing! It costs a bit more but it is worth it. That and PTPI spray.

the neighborhood should thank you because each one of those queens was a new colony in the making...drione effective for carpenter bees as well and as long as it is dry it works its magic sticks to the legs and slowly shuts down the nervous system ....
Raid Wasp and Hornet puts them down faster, I think. I took out a nest as big as the one in the video and wore no specialized suit. Just waited until early evening and surprise blasted them with the Raid. Start at the entrance and work outward soaking the whole nest. Might take a whole can but when they fall down they're already in rigor mortis, dead as a door nail with no movement at all. Most stay in the nest and die as ONE BIG CLUMP. Climbed up toy roof two days later and tore the whole thing down and incinerated the dead nest in a bucket with lighter fluid.

Every time I have been stung by these guys the hole bleeds where I had gotten stung, and then it will swell up like I have half of a golf ball under my skin. As it starts to go away about a week later but starts itching so badly that I use a hair brush with medium stiff bristles to scratch the area and it feels so good that my mouth starts to water. Go figure. Not sad for these guys getting wiped out that’s for sure. Nice job bud. Thank you.

Break dancing to the Sweet Sounds of The Death Dance sending them to meet their Maker while Spinning to a 360 Degree Buzz!
Absolutely frightening! I would freak if I seen a bee nest that big on my property.
Sevin Dust and Webout also work really good with both being human friendly, but yes at my job I use Alpine WD, Ecovia WD, Tempo, and Delta. I have Webout, but I'm not a fan of the citronella smell.

Howdy buddy!! Just thought I’d leave a message!!
I've used a flour sifter (with a p100 mask on my face) to break up the chunks before. Worked pretty well.

You could put some heavy metal things like washers in the rough powder in the applicator reservoir and shake to powder it up.

Do you pick up all the dead ones and dispose of them or leave them? I ask because I would assume it’s toxic for other species to eat them now?
No wasp and hornet killer sold on the market today can compete with the killing power of automotive brake parts cleaner.

We always called it dry-on. We’d mix some borid in with it in the electric duster. Because the drione cakes up in there. And drop a marble in your bulb duster for easy busting up the drione. I believe it’s still pyrethren. Which is made from the crisanthimum flowers. A great natural insecticide. Killing wasps in Texas! 👋✌️
