Not sure if the record still stands today, but I remember a part of Milwaukee, Cudahy, had more Bars/Pubs on Packard Avenue between Layton and College Avenue. 2pm is supposedly to be closing time but with many Manufacturing Jobs they would still be busy for 3rd Shifters getting off work.

I live just across the border from Hudson and can confirm that that is a legitimate strategy. The other way is a symphony of destruction but beer after Liquor is a PHD move.

I knew a guy here in Milwaukee who would always get mad whenever this bit was brought up. I found out it’s because whenever Lewis Black came to town his mom was his booty call 😂😂

i saw a chick at this local pub/eatery she was drinking brandy old fashions like water in pint size glasses,she was freaking boiled,lol

He needs to come to Northern Wisconsin. Jager is our "warm up" shot. The bar I go to mugs of beer are $1.25 every night and drinks are $2.75 to $3.50 for the "good stuff". Still can spend $50 on drinks in one night...

Not sure if Bars still sell it but I remember 15yrs ago when a tall glass filled with half Red Bull and half Jager was $5. Wired and Drunk shooting Darts and Pool night. Good memories

I live near Lacrosse and I'm half German, half Welsh, all American. Lacrosse was known for having the worlds record for the most bars per block. 🍻

I was born, raised, and still live in Wisconsin, I'm also, like 75% Irish 🍀... I got asked last summer when I was in New Orleans, Louisianna, on Burbon Street, where bars are open 24/7 and you can legally carry open intoxicants on the street, where I was from, and what heritage I am, to which I replied, Wisconsin, and mostly Irish... And this dude says in a drunken creole accent, "well that sounds like a drinking problem waiting to happen" , to which I replied "word to the wise, don't ever try to challenge someone from WI to a drinking contest because you will die, and we will get up Sunday morning and go have a bloody Mary and brunch like champs

Guinness is my favorite.

Just my wife Lisa, my cousin Sarah aka Mac and I in the family bar in Benton, Wisconsin this weekend. In comes some of the wedding crowd including my cousin Katey and her husband Beef. It was small town wedding drunk. I had one lady ask me my name at least six times, and then every time she said I can’t believe it’s you. Lots of fun at McCarthy’s. Only in Wisconsin.

4! Yes, 4 Jets fans puked in my car while Ubering that night. My first question now when they get in is “where are you from?” If it’s out of state they are immediately handed an Emesis bag.

Mr. Black is clearly not a professional drinker. Professional drinkers consider New Years Eve as Amateur Night, and stay home.

Wisconsin was settled by Germans, Poles and Irish immigrants who kept inviting over relatives to win the local drinking contests between the three groups.
