Hugh Laurie is brilliant as the Prince Regent in the third series, Blackadder III, which I think is the best series of them all.

@@ajorngjdonaydbr I'm not a huge fan of the fourth series, as the writers chose to perpetuate the false myth of 'Lions led by Donkeys', which was an egregious slur on an entire generation of incredibly brave, committed and skilled men. Too be honest, I've never been a fan of Ben Elton anyway, but his puerile sense of humour and chippy demeanour really started to get on my nerves by that point, despite one or two very good moments in that series.

As a suggestion arfter you watch Blackadder the third and before you watch blackadder goes forth (the 4th season) you should watch Blackadder's Christmas carol it's a brilliant take on the traditional story

Well, the every day beer that even the kids drank didn't have nearly as much alcohol in it as beer you drink now. They had that as well, but the everyday beer was small beer, which as the name implies, was pretty weak stuff. This was to preserve grain and give you something to drink that didn't make you shit your pants to death. It wasn't to party. Although, again, they had the hard stuff for that, too. 😊

Back when I used to drink, I used to intentionally sing the goblin song

Totally subjective opinion. Personally I think it's the weakest of all the 4 seasons. I still love it as I don't think there's a bad episode in the 4 seasons but my opinion is also purely subjective.

After Blackadder, you guys neeeeeeed to do a reaction to Bottom. Starring the Legend that is the late, great Rik Mayall (Lord Flasheart in Blackadder) and the equally talented Ade Edmondson. It will not disappoint. Love the channel guys, keep up the great work.

I saw this when it went out, and it really is one of the best comedy episodes ever.. There's some great Red Dwarf episodes though too. A personal favourite is 'rat arsed' in episode 1 of season 8 😳

Closing remarks - I wonder which Queen of England they were thinking of? One of the two Sweaty Bettys? Or the current queen-consort aka Camilla Farty-Bowels? Or Sick Vic (19C), or Ann Another (18C)...or maybe they were thinking about that other Elizabeth, the uncrowned queen of Scotland, who (if you believe Chris Knowles) is secretly ruling the entire world?

I grew up watching Blackadder and to this day, I still don’t know what Queenie says at 5:17 “Perhaps you’re right --“? Loving these reaction videos guys 👍 I’ve been binge watching them whilst getting ready for work etc.

Curry is actually amazing, and it's the only cuisine where without meat is better than with meat. And this from someone who loves nigh-on-all-forms-of-meat. It's one of the great unsung tragedies of America that it's so hard to get a decent curry over there.

The beer you drink instead of water is a lot weaker, the important thing is that it has been boiled

The boiling kills what WAS in it, the hops and alcohol prevent anything new growing in it; as does competition from already established yeasts. The boil is important in making it safer to drink, but just boiling and storing water would not have anywhere near the same effect.

Beer's one of my faves too. Like Potato because of Tom Baker. Miriam Margolees absolutely nails it in the episode, the luck bit sounding like FU....!! Edit always gets me laughing. 🤣 I'm a fan of Blackadder II & Goes Forth. Not so much the 3rd, I can take it or leave it. Personal preference I suppose, if one is allowed one on KZread? 🤭🤔
