No. KD is in his own special category. Drexler went to a Rockets team that was struggling. They got off to a hot start of 9-0 and then went on to lose like every other game. Their defense had declined from the previous year and they needed another dependable everyday scorer to help Olajuwon. That's a huge reason they knew they had to make a move and they got Drexler midway through the season. Drexler wasn't the difference between a Finals appearance and a Finals win (like KD was), he was the difference between missing the playoffs and Finals win.

I agree that KD is ONE of the greatest scorers. That’s it though. To be considered the GOAT you need to know how to make your teammates better as well as play notably elite defence. He doesn’t really do either. IMO KD as an individual player is comparable to a prime Melo. They score with ease but the other intangibles are not part of their game.

They are the equivalent to 'IF" Hakeem would have joined the Bulls and Jordan not retired for those 2 years. They are looked at as lesser championships and should be. Getting the best or 2nd best player in the association smack dab in their prime while already being a championship team is bunk.
