Drawing an Anemone Flower with Colored Pencils
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I drew this flower using Prismacolor and Polychromos Pencils on Arches Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper. The reference image was used with permission from photographer Ilona E. Stefan.
I have created a 6-part Tutorial Series for this drawing including Outline, Reference Image, Supply List, Color Guide, and Study Guide with helpful tips. 👏👏👏 beautiful art!!!
Beautiful!!
Embrace the process - don't make it an-enemy 😄
Very impressive! I saw you used a brush to smooth out the strokes, how could that be possible 👍! Did you use the wet brush?

Thank you! Yes, I use paint thinner to blend the pencil.

I see. Thank you 🙏
You create gorgeous art. I'm learning how to use colored pencils. What's the holder you're using for some of your pencils please? Does it prevent any strain on your hand? I need to get some solvent like yours. I love how it smooths the look. Thanks!

Thank you! Those are pencil extenders that I use when my pencils get too small to hold properly. The solvent works great. You should definitely try it to see what you think! Jennifer

@@JenniferMorrisonArt Thanks! I just bought the blending pen since you mentioned a chance of toxicity with the solvent. I didn't research that but went for the pen. Easier to manage on the go too. Thanks for the tips and instruction!

@@myartsytribe That's great! The pens work well and they are easier to control. The biggest downside to them is that they are more expensive in the long run but should give you a good idea if you like blending with a solvent.

Good to know! Now, can you help me pronounce Hellebore? Because that is what I just finished drawing and I don't know how to pronounce it either.😂
