I have fished Drano twice. Never scored myself , but my partner did....the triple is exciting! Had those at Bouy 10 on Coho once!

Pro tip, you need a rod, reel and line that can handle the fish. If you got a noodle rod and reel, you won't be able to control the fish. That means it will run and tangle other rigs near by and piss people off. The guy yelling control that fish was joking.

Great video! That triple was ridiculous! And in regards to the small hooks, I've have noticed that my hookup rate has increased with smaller hooks, at least in trout and salmon. It may be because with larger hooks the fish may be able to get more leverage and twist it out. Just a theory.

Great video, someone should tell the guide about Patagonia and their views on fish hatcheries.

I wonder if they've had the same habitat issues we have here. Without hatcheries we'd have barely any left in most rivers

When you catch a king do you go to the outside, in the center of the trolling circle, or is everyone supposed to move around you?

How many feet of line do you usually let out at drano? I know for a fact they usually let out 75 ft of line out in the columbia

Lots shorter on Drano just because the boats are close together. At the beginning of the episode Chris says 25' & 30' .

Your fishing heavy leads and trying to stay near your boat and bottom its about 30 feet deep on average so most won't go past 30 on the counter.

The goal for that fishery is to catch and keep. That's all he was referring to. I don't think he meant to imply that having few wild fish is a good thing.
