his throwing motion is so slow. ball comes out like a rocket to make up for it most times but in the NFL that’s alot of potential picks

I think it really depends on how quickly he can process things/what offense is he going into, cause this offense is poopoo and looks like it was designed during the stone age. It's kinda like the Herbert thingy

This dude is gonna throw a lot of interceptions in the NFL

Its concerning that he is very poor at picking up blitz and recognizing pressure. His accuracy is still just a bit off too many times. And then he'll deliver a 1st round type of missile down the middle. I see red flags thats all i'll say.

He really got bailed out by plays that won’t be there in the nfl. I see a couple poor decisions, many missed throws, and I kept shaking my head. Honestly reminds me of the trubisky/switzer connection.

Despite his OL not being able to pick up stunts [kinda like the Giants OL], he's still poised and making throws.

True, but at the same time, on some of those sacks he held the ball and didn't feel the blitzer coming. I've also noticed in multiple games how his ball placement is off a little too often for a guy whose calling card is his pocket play. Some throws end up being sinkers (like the announcer said) or just underthrown downfield. He's going to have to tighten that up.

@@zohraishvyeah I noticed that. I also see him telegraphing his passes too much. Like on that deep dig to Tez Walker in the 3rd, he’s watching Tez the whole way waiting for him to come into space. Defenses at the next level are gonna kill him for that if he doesn’t start looking safeties off. Other than that pretty exciting prospect. Hope he lands in NE if we don’t get Caleb.

In all honesty, other than Caleb, I just don't see the hype with some of these other guys. Even in Caleb's bad games, you still see his play making ability that can translate to the nfl, but these other guys have some huge flaws in my eyes

His pocket presence is not great. He also doesn't get to his 3rd read much. Throwing motion has a slight hitch as well, allowing defenders to get a beat on him. There are not alot of "Scan" throws from the pocket with Maye, Daniels was elite from the pocket all year on the other hand.

Agreed, however I noticed Daniels and Caleb often have way more time to stay in the pocket whereas Mayes O line doesn’t give him much time

I think you have to look at Daniels back at his Arizona State days. Arizona State roster is probably closer to what Maye is dealing with now and Daniel’s was thought of being a 5th round prospect. I still think Daniel’s is an interesting prospect but he’s already shown that with a less-than-capable roster, he was not regarded as anything close to special.

Daniels always seems to bail after his first read. Give Maye a better O line and you'll see a bigger difference in completions.

Miami's DC will be getting HC offers if he always coaches like this smh. Maye looked confused all night. He really maximized his personnel and they stalked the QB like a wounded cub. Man coverage with creative blitzes from DBs, looked hellish to face

They started off hot and Maye looked bad, but he threw for 273 yards, 4 TDs, and 0 INTs lmao, so you can't really call that a bad game by Maye. Miami got torched in the end. Gave up 41 points.

His coach isn’t doing him any favors call some play-action or run pass option plays to slow down that blitz. Maybe a 3 TE set he Maye looked terrible because his coach is just running deep routs a few screens while his OL and QB eat safety and line backer blitz the defense was living rent free in Mayes head all night.

Go back and watch the national championship. Whenever your protection is just straight up obliterated, you can't make throws at a high level, at least in college. It's just something young QBs have to grow into

@@svenjorgensenn8418 Well no one has said he’s a cancer. It’s all rumors started by people. Maye sucks and so does Daniels. Drakes passes are slow and underthrown idk where people see he has a strong arm. And jayden is just a runner with great receivers like Justin fields had in Ohio.
