It was released in 2003/4(Romania/Rest of Europe). So it was a huge in in the 2000's not the 90's.

This song is from Moldavia, where they speak Romanian. My girlfriend is Romanian and she translated it for me. It has nothing to do with dragons at all , dragostea din tei means love under the lime tree Dragostea is love in English
