I love your work. You made this horrendously underwhelming adventure a worthwhile and entertaining watch. Seriously though why ask the party to beat up a child dragon when YOU’RE AN ADULT DRAGON. Icespire peak had so much more hype for the final fight.

even as a pacifist dragon, why let all those shipwrecks keep happening?? just dozens of people drowing cause you don't want to go figure stuff out or scare a single harpy away. it is suppose to be a group's first adventure, so the designers made it very player character centric and simple, but thinking about it too long can make stuff a little odd.

@@GreenDM personally I would find it a bit condescending as an adventurer if a giant, fully-capable dragon told me "hey come do this fetch quest and save my rebellious youngster because I'm too lazy." Icespire Peak never felt like "do this because the big man said so" it felt as if your characters actions had weight and their services were required to ward off the collateral damages of a massive late game threat.

@@GreenDM Exactly, the monster manual even states that bronze dragons live in seaside coves and are glad to help sailors and ships caught up in sandbanks and storms. JUst seems weird to let catastrophes keep happening on the island.

Thanks for posting this, I see it as Runara being so "pacifist" that it's a detriment to those around her. "All it takes for evil to persist in the world, is for good dragons to do nothing" or something to that effect.

Theeeeee final fight in the middle of the book? Was that joke from Green even real? I don't remember the actual modules any more.

So I've set up this module, and this is the best final recap summary for the D.M. Right before session to recap.

He is back! I started watching a week ago since I was looking up how to run out of the abyss (my first campaign I’m dming, it totally won’t end in complete carnage). Great comedy as always, and I’m glad to see you haven’t fell off the face of the earth.

I don't know if you're currently working on another one of these, but I would definitely appreciate it if you could do the Tyranny of Dragons (As one video or divided into the modules) along with Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Dungeon of the Mad Mage. and perhaps as a 10k subscriber special, Storm King's Thunder (That'll be a long one.) There may be more, but that's all of the official 5e Forgotten Realms campaign settings I remember. From there, maybe you could cover some other modules, or do a personal ranking of all the adventures you covered.

I've found prewritten adventures very hard to follow. i now use them much more as map and inspiration repositories. has been going much better that way!

I hope to see Green DM cover Storm King's Thunder or Tyranny of Dragons or my fave module Dungeon of the Mad Mage sometime in the future

I love these videos, I think videos like this about monster lore could be cool!

I think the designers want Runara to be a hint that the game can be played without just spamming combats, so she doesn't really celebrate the final victory. which can be interesting, but I'd want to congratulate the players for playing somehow. perhaps the kobolds can throw a party!

The lost dragons from icespire peek in the Phandelver island

Don't quite understand how a wyrmling dragon could know enough to be able to bind other dragon spirits to him.

Phandelver and below came out. You need to wear your clown shoes one more time, our hero

Ya know what'd also make it better? Make Sparkrender into a Young or Adult Dragon instead of a wittle baby Heck my players had a better time fighting Cryovane AND Zombified Venomfang in my Dragon of Phandelver game, yeah they got to fight 2 boss dragons at level 9 they felt awesome

yeah the box art makes it seem like the party will be a fighting a full dragon, not a wyrmling.

@@GreenDM I always thought it was odd how Venomfang looks so much larger than Cryovain on the box art despite being the same age. The cover art tends to be a bit deceiving.

I would run Lost Mine of Phandelver as the main story. I like the plot and flow of that adventure more. But I would like to have the better fleshed out pregenerated characters with motivations and adventure tie from this one. Also I would at least use the myconid cave because I like those little mushroom dudes.

It is a very short adventure. which seems good for your first adventure as a DM. Can be even shorter if the party runs into the owlbear too early 😆
