Kevin was actually pretty nice here. This is obviously one of the worst pitches in dragons den history, and one of the worst ideas. Alot more mean stuff could have been said here.

2:02 - you may be able to build a house out of straw, however you're not normally driving combustible engines inside them! This is a huge liability disaster waiting to happen. Either a major fire, or the snow is too heavy for the straw roof, and there's an avalanche, and people are basically buried alive.

the British version is TOUGH, they are super serious and the Dragons on the British one esp. make it known they HATE losing and wasting money on STUPID ideas, and they will call you OUT on dumb concepts too, lol. They are TOUGH on the British version.

Dragons Den and Shark Tank are still reality shows. They’re still directed and scripted for entertainment. Honestly when you go on these shows, the main purpose is marketing rather than getting investment. Hell most of the investments done on camera fall apart when when actual negotiations start.

One of the reasons I watch Dragon's Den and Shark Tank is to see other people's business ideas and how they are selling their product line. I discover how valuation is determined. And what it takes to secure a deal with a Dragon (or shark). I wonder if those who come on this show truly understands the working behind all of this. And I question how Dragon's Den even allowed an individual to appear on the show without provable sales. Yes, we all have dreams...and maybe this kind of episode helps others. I just find it sad to watch when something is obviously not going to attract an investor.

As a farmer, straw is the residue from a harvested grain crop. It's not edible, and is usually used for fodder. This plan uses straw bales for a building material, but it is not ideal.

No, Kevin's term is it has to MAKE MONEY, not just built it. Else I am sure Cuban would happily do it. He said sometime he invests on Shark Tank not for money making but for the right reason and I am sure seeing Kevin eating straws like a cow is one of the right reasons.

There are countless bad ideas/pitches but were the pitchers haven't invested much money to make it worthwhile. If your idea is good but you don't put enough in yourself, why would a dragon invest in you than just do it themselves.

dragons den Canada would always let a few nutty ones on to make entertaining tv , especially in their early years .

The concept is great. And will make millions look into it. Subscription for motoX riders for somewhere to ride is huge world wide.

Look into just the subscription per year in Australia to go ride on a track for motoX

A classic case of asking for 100% of the required capital and yet only offering 50% of the equity. The only the way there could be any fairness in that is if she draws no salary AND brings CAD 2m in sweat equity, which is clearly not the case. Valuing the company by reference to the money she needs (and how much equity she is willing to part with) rather than by what it’s worth.
