I think the joke is more that now he’s been turned into an *_android_* the alcohol doesn’t actually do anything anymore. He just continues to drink out of habit, but he doesn’t ever feel the effects or get intoxicated. And I think this is Android in the actual terms, like 16, and not cyborgs like 17 or 18, so as a man shaped robot, he is incapable of getting drunk. Tl;dr, the real joke is he’s a robot and can’t actually get drunk anymore, it’s not that deep folks.

I want Cooler to be canon and be the black sheep of the family who got strong as hell through actual hard work. Like a proper leader who dug himself a corner of the galaxy by himself.

To this day I and many of my friends still quote that. Even though to pretty much anyone else it just sounds like the usual exclamation of “Jesus Christ!” When we say it we all mean it to sound like Dr. Gero and we all interpret it as such.

Remember: Korin "wants one". Bojack could have them trying to go through the adoption process.

It’s a very subtle, possibly indeliberate thing but I love Gero derangedly screaming “kill Son Goku” as a nod to 17 saying “try living in stasis for years with your creator yelling kill Son Goku over and over inside your head”, as well as inside 16’s mind. Gero’s natural state.

That shuddering “Ohhhhhh nooooo….” Will always be one of my favorite DBZA lines

13 and Goku's exchange of asking how Gero had so much trouble killing Goku and Goku simply responding that he's stubborn is possibly my favorite exchange in all the movies, both because it's hilariously honest, and makes for such a usable quote.

34:05 Taka's explanation is perfect for the scene. It's back-to-back with the jokes, having nearly the same pace as the Kai Abridged episodes

Obviously in bojack, Korin and yajirobe’s would be trying to adopt! They are a true power couple.

There were so many good great jokes in this,their best movie along with lord slug.

I knew that the "Monkey Fighting Androids" was a referrence to the tv censored Snakes on a Plane but I only just realized that it also works as these Androids are fighting monkeys (Saiyans).

I love how, after watching a bunch of these commentaries, these three don’t come off as “pretentious directors”. But every time I’m watching the commentaries these guys are quoting every quote that I am quoting. And that’s because they are actually the biggest fans of their own series. And that’s awesome! Every time they talk and discuss, it reminds me of conversations with others about the series I used to have in the past. This is awesome!

Also, a brilliant point-and-click adventure game based on the original story, adapted by the author himself.

The only thing I really remember from the original dub was Trunks calling 13 a "Red Ribbon redneck", and how it cracked me up.

Imagine if all us viewers were in a room together. The chorus of "OH SHIT, MOTHAFUCKA!" would be magnificent.

“Someone stupid get in my way!” Is a line I missed on the first couple watches but that part has quickly become my favorite

5:40 i've always unironically loved that one cell line in this movie. " "blargh" - cell in dbza movie: super android 13 " truly inspirational acting.

33:30 that fucking explosion sound effect is sending me

The string of jokes starting with "Vegeta, he stole your do!" Is my favorite moment in all of DBZA. Peak comedy writing.

"SOMEONE STUPID GET IN MY WAY!!" is my second favorite TFS Vegeta quote of all time.

As a side I kinda love that in the AOT abridge Jaen was portrayed as a rich elite when he’s from Trost which would basically be like a blue collar city comparable to Chicago.

That whole "What's another 17 years" hits different after watching Invincible

"...Did you just throw a motherf*cking dog tr". The sheer level of incredulity in that take makes that one of my most favorite lines in the any of the movies.

31:27 Finally after all these years Lani commented on a joke I never understood. It really is just Vegeta struggling to come up with a good insult, I really overthought this scene and thought I was missing something.

This movie has some of my all time favourite deliveries from Scott. I know most of it serves to make Trunks look pathetic but it's just so freaking adorable. Especially the, "...but you don't even have a sword..." line.

I love that, when Taka asks for Nies to cut, they don’t, but when Kaiser asks, they do. Pecking order, indeed

I was at a convention that Briner attended, cosplaying as Olaf the Snowman, and got a picture with him and the autograph , "One Drugs, Please. Thunderhead" and it was a great time had by all.

The Korin and Yajirobe storyline is the single best running gag in the entire series. I don't care who disagrees, I will die on this hill.

I also love that Taka and lani are like the hyper little kids and there’s Scott the calm father figure just dealing with the kids 😂😂😂

So many good lines in this one movie, just as the original Super Android 13 Movie had. Lines like: 1. "Vegeta, he stole your Do!" "I'll kill him" 2. Ok racist, if you must know, it's because he has a drinking problem" "Hey, it's only a problem I run out" "We don't like to talk about it" 3. "Three whole Androids huh? Pretty sure that makes 8. Hmm, never letting the boy live this one down" 4. "Well, if you can't beat em, bomb em" 5. "Do these people even give a damn anymore, I swear they stopped trying after Season 2" 6. "Oh, why did I even bring this?! Wait, why DID I bring this? We were shopping before-" 7. "Oh right, Super Saiyan" "Oh sh*t, Super Saiyan" 8. "He punched in the d*ck, why? Why did he punch me in the d*ck" "Not so funny now, is it Kakarot?" 9. "Oh this bodes poorly. Jesus Christ!" 10. "Yep, Senzu Beans healed my nutsuck good"

22:24 Love the little synchronized head wobbles.

Cooler as a concept is pretty awesome. You have this space emperor who sees himself as the ruler of everything and everyone, but it turns out he's actually gotta share power with his older brother and his dad is secretly pulling the strings of his two sons. And he's a p*ssy compared to his kids! But they don't seem to have it in them to kill him themselves! That's such a neat dynamic!

Being a native southerner this film was always my fav's of DBZA's catalogue. I donated during the movie marathon years ago cause I just love it that much, and getting to see the breakdown is the cherry on the top.

I have waited MONTHS for this. At 35:50; this was the PERFECT opportunity to have Adult Gohan say "Goten? Where'd you go-ten?" As a callback. I always heard it in my head as a kid and i have been holding onto this one for YEARS.

Well some confusion was thrown in since Dragon Ball doesn't really have an "America," so technically they wouldn't be Native American. But they called the two characters that anyways when they remembered that's clearly what they're inspired by.

if TFS went into Bojack, since Korrin and Yajirobe weren't in the movie, it's clear they'd have been off on their honeymoon now that Cell's not threatening the world anymore. I've been really enjoying watching these commentaries. Not only do I get to see the methods to the madness, I get to watch DBZA all over again. Win/Win! 😁

Where would they go on honeymoon? Maybe Bulma could set them up with a moonbase Capsule Corp isn't doing much with as a holiday villas where they can wine and dine under the stars and get romantic as the sunrise/set crests the curvature of the Earth.

Man Kaiser's "DAA-AMMIT!" at 21:18 is so good! Also the entire scene is just excellent of course, it's just so much more funny when topped with that!

LOL @33:07 when they're all just vibing to the *Boom Chicka Ah* Piccolo hype up moment.

Taka's delivery of Cell's noise is honestly one of my favourite moments in DBZA. Not far behind "That is a ROCK!" Goku's first guest for what the TH stood for was probably "Hard to Dodge".

RIP Attack on Titan Abridged. It was so goddamn good. It’s a crime that TFS was forced to stop making it.

My favorite line throughout the entire movie will always be Vegeta's fear in his voice saying "Ohh nooo."

At this point, I think I'm enjoying watching the three of them just hanging out and being buddies more than the commentary

Part of Funimation's staff likes TFS, but Toei and Sean Schemmel really don't and it's heavily theorized that Sean Schemmel was the one who contacted Toei to tell them about the secret cameos to get them removed.

When I first saw this movie, I found 14's final line so intensely profound I just assumed it was a quote lifted directly from some famous philosopher. It goes so goddamn hard, and yet typing the phrase into google with quote marks brings up _nothing_ but results directly related to... This movie. Which is astounding, easily my favorite bit of writing in it by far.

Vegeta going through his own Batman spine situation in this movie was hilarious, and the obliteration of Gokus jewels was painful and hilarious at the same time.

Vegeta's "Oh no..." line is my favourite joke in all of TFS
