Here is a logistics issue. If they are made at 8am and delivered between 9am and 11am, this means they need to be sold by 5pm. This sounds fine and well, but delivery happens as people have left for work. Nobody is out shopping between 9am and 11am. Most people are off work by 5pm, when they expire. This means that you are delivering perishable food when people are at work, and it expires when they are coming home. The vast majority of your market is physically unavailable for purchase. And for that reason, I'm out.

Things this guy has to pay for before he puts a single cent in his pocket Driver wages Factory worker wages Admin staff wages Cost of stock Cost of his heated units Lease on heated vans Commercial insurance on vans Goods in transit and public liability insurance for each van Lease on factory Lease on cooking equipment or upfront costs of buying it Insurance on factory Insurance on cooking equipment For what he is proposing he needs to be making at least 1k per van per day. The costs are astronomical and 300 per day for 6 vans won't even cover his wage bill per factory. And increasing the number of vans won't necessarily draw in more profits. In order to counteract the costs of having more vans he needs to have a huge fleet of dozens of vans each pulling in 700-1000 euros per day. He was doomed to fail. He has looked at the most basic of costs. His unit and converting a factory. And decided that since they seem reasonable the rest of the business must be viable. And it's just not

No, what he was wanting to do was going to be a logistical nightmare. He could have purchased battery powered high end heated holding boxes for the delivery vans to really cut the cost of getting a heated truck. Even with that, it’s unrealistic to think that you can deliver an item with a 9 hour shelf life to multiple venues every day. Also there wasn’t enough turn around on his items to be worth the risk. He needed to have 5 locations he’s already feeding these to to be able to properly pitch it to investors.

Then he could let a big company come in and either royalty him out, or take care of other cities. He's going for a marathon run in gumboots right now. Needs to wind it back in and prove his product locally first. He needed to get like 20 of these machines made. And get them all out within a close proximity of the place he currently cooks from.
