Dragon Ball Z - Trunks Kills Freeza (Japanese Broadcast Audio)

Фильм және анимация

The audio is from a rare Japanese VHS tape; crystal clear audio that Toei animation stupidly got rid of, and now we have shitty mono. But a friend of mine sent me an audio of it, and I synched it with Exos.
Thanks to Lilith for the audio: / lilithiria18

    back in the day up to 90's most Japanese studios did that even in video games, they discard the source codes, not having the re-releases in mind at the time, probably now they learned their lesson

    It’s Toei’s stupid-ass pride that caused them to make that decision. I understand that they’re Japanese and Japanese people have lots of pride on what they love to do, and that’s great, but honestly, there are times where they need to put their pride aside in order to make their fans completely satisfied and happy. What they’ve done with the audio masters is completely selfish and even totally retarded.

    Actually the difference in "quality" comes from different animation directors being used to project their own art styles onto each episode rather than treating the whole staff as cogs in a machine; it's a very common practice in anime compared to in Western animation. As a result, what you get is a broad variety of artistic expression at the cost of overall consistency.

    I was never into looking up battle powers after the Namek/Freeza arc, with ridiculous fan made numbers reaching the millions and billions. There's a reason it was stated within the series itself that scouters can't measure someone's true power. And there's a reason battle power were completely discarded. They became irrelevant. I admit, I wouldn't mind to see some sort of return to them - but only from the official sources.

    From a plot standpoint this scene is also perfect. We just had an entire saga showing us how powerful Frieza is, Goku just barely managed to kill him, then Frieza returns in a even more powerful body. This new Super Saiyan appears out of nowhere and kills Frieza with one hit. Great way to show power levels without using numbers. This scene also does a great job at showing us just how strong the androids will be. Trunks can kill cyborg Frieza in one hit, but can't kill the androids.

    Kirby Presley Not plagiarized. There's a band called Propaganda and they had music vastly similar to some of the beats that Kenji Yamamoto had at the time. • @OWmyDragonballz

    @OWmyDragonballz

    10 жыл бұрын

    Kirby Presley Well if you want to think of it as Plagiarism then fine, but I personally think it's homage. Besides, this is the only song in the entirety of Z that some people complain about. George Lucas's Star Wars opening song was based off of a 50's movie where the beginning part of the music sounds exactly like it yet people don't complain about that. Yamamoto mainly only went too far in Kai. Z's music was completely fine and it was awesome. It's not being "denial" to believe it's homage because it actually makes sense. I also find this video title ironic to our argument we are having now. This is a downgraded version of the actual Broadcast Audio that AnimeMaakuo owns and it sounds so much better in comparison to this one. Someone took website samples and placed it on KZread all based on the original broadcast claiming it to be theirs, lol. People even go so far as to sell samples and send him death threats.

    They probably saw a bad quality version of the original since that's what Toei allowed to happen to it. Not only that, but their whole idea of the series is fundamentally warped anyway. It's just not the same areas of emphasis as the original (and international) version that most around the world are familiar with, being overly sanitized.

    Oh man, having the original episode end at Trunks slicing Frieza in half was just brilliant! One of the best cliffhangers in all of anime bar none, especially with the original Japanese soundtrack! 3/8/2023 Edit: Had to re-visit one of my favorite animated moments of all time in honor of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama who sadly passed away on March 1st at age 68. We got official word of it on March 7th thanks to Dragon Ball’s official social media platforms. I (as well as the many, MANY Dragon Ball fans throughout the world) thank you Toriyama sensei for bringing a spark to our storytelling, art, and senses of humor. You will be missed and your characters will live on forever. Say hi and tell a good joke to King Kai for us.❤️🫡
