This is a really good point but tbh, vegeta always seems to never copy anyone else's moves (except super saiyan transformations lol). He only does this in Super if at all. That's not saying that he couldn't copy the dance in 1 try (after all he is almost portrayed as being a better striker than Goku most times) but he just never seemed to practice anyone else's techniques generally so I kinda get the feeling that he wouldn't perfectly copy such an awkward move in 1 go. He's not Kakashi or such xD One thing that wasn't mentioned in the video is that GTs Art style is much more similar to the movies. The quality is much better. Not exactly a giant green flag for the theory but it sorta helps a tiny bit.

The reason why vegeta knows about the fusion dance is because vegeta is movie vegeta, not z vegeta That meaned all the villains he faced He also faced the villains in the movie.

Apparently vegeta did know in Z but that doesn't mean he knew how how do it in 1 perfect attempt

The thing with GT Vegeta is that he actually follows the entire character development sequence he went through at the end of the fight with Buu, with the "you're number one" speech. DBS Vegeta, while showing development in other sections of his personality, didn't seem to even acknowledge the existence of that particular scene. It felt like Vegeta's attitude towards Goku in DBS could be straight out of the story from even far back as the Cell saga even.

that’s because goku had long surpassed him, in battle of gods he kept the same demeanour as the buu saga but by resurrection f he had caught up with goku with both of their super saiyan blues which probably instilled a new found confidence. also he 100% is NOT the same as the cell saga, he actively works with and has trust in goku as you can literally see in future trunks, top and the moro arcs. at the end of the day they are still rivals and each work together to try and surpass one another

The thing is, Vegeta will never stop trying to catch up with Goku. He admitted Goku was stronger while fighting Buu, but that doesn’t mean he’d let him stay that way considering they’re both Sayians and it means he can get just as strong if he tried. And the stronger one of them gets, the more the other tries to break that limit, meaning they’ll never stop trying to hit their absolute limit, the point where they simply can’t get any stronger, but it won’t ever stop because they push each other to surpass the other and showing there’s more beyond the limit

@@balenciiii He definitely did not have the same demeanor as the late Buu Saga in the Battle of Gods Saga. The entire "why does it have to be Kakarot" and "in that moment I surpassed you" moments make that pretty damn clear. And in the same Goku Black, Tournament of Power, and Moro arcs, he has also actively shown he does NOT want to work with Goku if things aren't desperate. I'll admit, calling him the same as his Cell saga version is a bit of a hyperbole, but he most certainly wasn't late Buu Saga Vegeta.

Its gonna feel so satisfying making the DBS newcomer fanboys ragequit as SS4 Gogeta in BT4

In DragonBall Z when they were inside of Super Buu, Goku implied that he had already thought Vegeta the dance as they had been walking around inside Buu for soo long.

Well who cares about that?!” Goku: “Huh? You know about it?” Vegeta: “I saw it from the afterlife…You’ve got to be joking! You think I’d perform those ugly poses…?! So we are just going to ignore that we know for a fact that vegeta doesnt know the dance from dbz because in dbs broly he just doesnt know how to do it. So he doesnt get it from Z. Gt vegeta knows it because the movies took place in GT. This is just common knowledge

My love for GT was always genuine when super came around it became more genuine cuz Omg super made all the characters into a parody

I always read Vegeta in this show as someone who took what he learned with Z and applied it to life. Which made him not only a better person, but a even stronger fighter. I mean even though Goku didn’t get weaker when turned into a kid, that stamina nerf to Goku really upped Vegeta to the strongest in the universe even stated by baby. Then he only wants to train because he wants to be here to protect home. Granted super is still a prequel to end of Z and Vegeta has been showing elements closer to how he was at eoz/ GT

Exactly why I like gt having its own canon universe with the movies that could also collide with their Xeno counter parts.

Hmm... I am not sure but I recall Goku mentioning the Fusion Dance in Boo's body in Z Filler and Vegeta hinted that he knows about it and that he refuses it.

After Vegeta died in the Buu Saga KIng Yama Didn't send Vegeta to Hell, instead he kept Vegeta on standby. Vegeta was watching all of the events that was taking place on earth, which Includes Goku transforming into SSJ 3 and I assume he saw Gotena and Trunks Practicing the Fusion and dance and listened to Goku's instruction on how to perform the fusion dance. Also Remember when Goku first Proposed Fusing using the Potarra earrings Vegeta said I Know you don't expect me to do weird dance moves. Also I could be wrong and this could have happened in the fusion reborn movie but I think it happened in DBZ Manga and anime

I know it gets hated on so much. But I love GT. I even prefer it over Super. It gave an interesting take on the end of the series and actually rapped us nicely with the shadow dragon arc.

When they were vegito and buuhan did the ghost kamekaze attack Vegito said « i’m the one who taught everything to gotenks you can’t beat me with that » So maybe after the fusion vegeta and goku shared memories

To answer how Vegeta learned the Fusion Dance in GT this maybe a stretch but the DBZ Movies are canon to GT so by extension Gogeta is as well. Cooler and a few other old villains are seen in the Super 17 Saga

While it wasn't AMAZING, there was enough there i liked and the fact it stuck more to the origins of Dragon Ball and Z, expanding on what was set up like the Tails being important and the Elder Kai's warning about over using the Dragon Balls. I consider it good, not amazing but certainly not trash.

Ok, but against Oozaru Baby Goten and Trunks are ready to fuse before Goku tells them not to bother, that implies that they practice the dance regularly even with Trunks' busy schedule as president Shot in the dark, but maybe Trunks and Vegeta practiced the dance at some point to keep em ready to do it whenever

After all these decades I still don't get how Gogeta did magic, that big bang kamahama wave that turned into party poppers and streamers.

I haven't seen the whole video so I'm sorry if I'm wrong but in case the explanation that I knew her is from Janemba's movie it can't be. In Dragon Ball GT certain movies happen like Cooler's but not Janemba's since this happens in a universe where Gohan killed Majin Buu so Goku and Vegeta were not resurrected, plus at the end of this movie Vegeta disappears forever so it is impossible for him to resurrect

what about DBS? since Super happens before End of Z and GT. And since the Broly Movie is entirely canon to the DB timeline, it would mean that since Gogeta was re-introduced in there, and since Goku and Vegeta actually trained into doing the fusion dance in that movie, it would show how Vegeta and Goku knew the dance completely already. Plus the fact that Goku asked to fuse with Vegeta in the Super Broly movie, and then Vegeta with Goku in GT would show a pretty nice and fun parallel.

regarding the fusion I wonder if their diverged growth makes it impractical or maybe even impossible for them to fuse properly now if they fuse they likely won't be possible to use neither of the Ultra forms/techniques due to the drastic difference between them would the fusion powerup be enough to justify lack of these? for now it may still be, but as they improve their individual forms it may become less and less desirable to lock them

The weird thing about this is that the metamor dance fusion wasnt canonical until the release of Broly. The fact that Vegeta knows about the fusion dance means thay GT is in the films canon and not in the TV show or manga canon and ive never realized until now.

yes in this current era that would make sense. But super was not invented or thought of at this time. This theory is meant to be structured around an older timeframe.

i don't think the hell being inconsistent is really valid anymore given that hell looks different in super as well and super is canon to dragonball.

I strongly disagree with the theory that the fusion reborn movie is connected with dragonball GT, especially when GT is a clear continuation of Z, which the fusion reborn movie can't properly fit into. Cooler's appearance in GT is nothing more than a cameo, especially since he isn't acknowledged by the main cast, and no other movie villains appeared. Even the fusion reborn movie had multiple previous movie villains appear. Also, Vegeta was aware of the fusion dance during Z, the same way he was aware of Goku's super saiyan 3 transformation. I honestly think that there's more evidence to GT and the fusion reborn movie not sharing the same continuity than the contrary.

GT is actually a continuation of the anime version of the second half of the original manga called Dragon Ball Z where alot of filler exists including Garlic Jr. and Cooler is said to exist since that anime.

It’s a good thing you can acknowledge that For some reason People are really adverse to acknowledging or accepting the fact that Z is the anime *adaptation* of the manga and GT is the anime exclusive sequel to Z not the manga and complain about canon

I still think GT sucks honestly, What I think what happened was SSJ4(EVERY Version), Baby, Super 17 & the Dragons were executed so well that people forgot GT sucked.

How can you say all those things were executed so well and then say GT sucks in the same sentence lol. Why a lot of people don’t like GT (outside of the ones who blindly hate it for no reason) is because of the monster-of-the-week formulaic plot present with the earlier Shadow Dragons Arc and the Super 17 Arc feeling like a week Fusion Reborn knock off.

Yes it did suck but hear me out, the music, music timing and aged coloring hurt the show a lot more than anything. If you change the music, cut some content, and remaster it, it becomes a hell of a lot better. Just remove the whole super 17 arc tho xD
