The confusion is SUPER HERO was supposed to be released before Granola Arc. The movie got erased and had to be redrawn. The power level of Goku and Vegeta in the MORO arc is all they showed in 102 . Remember Whis and Beerus have not seen True UI or Ultra Ego forms.

True UI is an OMEN form of the SAYIAN PERFECTED UI. That's why it's currently stronger bc it's closer to Goku's Perfected UI instead of Angel UI. @@briandyer6809 The only reason why it was decreasing Goku's accuracy and stamina against Granolah is because Goku wasn't using it with a right mindset like how he was during the Galictic Prison/Moro Arc and he wasnt facing that issue in the superhero arc either. The True UI form is nothing but an emotional version of UI sign and it'll likely only be a one time form, and even Currently Perfected UI is still Goku's strongest form as beerus and whis both confirmed it themselves. Please stop having such headcanons about UI sign just because you like it more the Perefected UI, The form was only needed to Goku when he can't keep his heart calm and tranquil. And both merus and whis in the Manga stated multiple times that relying on emotions and power alone don't evolve Ultra Instinct and that's exactly why Goku wasn't even able to keep his omen form for that long because his emotions were clashing with the calm energy of UI. Goku will continue to polish his perfected UI and then work on making UI his base form just like whis told him, and whis never told him to embrace UI in his saiyan nature he told Goku to embrace UI as his base form and keep his silver haired form as a last reserve,and again UI requires a user to have a calm mind cuz that's how it evolves.

My take on this is that Gohan is stronger but Goku has more experience. I’m not gonna say skill because skill has meant very little in DB. Power always made the difference in a fight. Aside from that, Toriyama’s statement about Broli being stronger than incomplete Cell Max in my opinion follows the anime continuity and not the manga. If we consider Goku’s jump in power from the ending of the Broly movie to the end of the Granolah/Gas Saga, he should’ve ultimately eclipsed Broly in power. Then we get the Super Hero arc where Gohan Beast fights Cell Max. If by comparison via manga feats Goku surpassed Full Power Broly, this would mean that Cell Max was way stronger than FP Broly. This would make further sense that Broly now in the manga is significantly stronger than his previous iteration in the movie vs Gogeta by learning how to focus his power. As we know, when a character is in full control, their power output is astronomically stronger than their out of control variant.

I’m talking about final fights. Power always won. The only fight you can make mention of is Jiren against Goku and Frieza in the end and that was simply to support the plot that Universe 7 stood for “trust”. Other than that, it was always a new transformation or power winning over skill.

The official website confirmed they both were using their full power in the sparring match, So when goku powered up first in Ui that was him using his full power against gohan, then when Gohan powered up in beast that was gohan using his. Judging by the fact that UI goku at full power couldn't keep Gohan down or knock him out of beast while Gohan with only two hits knocked goku out of UI, To me its clear that Gohan is more powerful than Goku by a decent margin especially when you also consider he surpassed UI's speed advantage with power alone.

Yeah but then right after goku got back up and went back into it, goku has the upper hand on Gohan again. So this may sound like headcanon but UI does get better as the fight goes on as long as goku is in the right state of mind. So I'd say maybe goku's power increased by a good margin as well as his speed, etc. When you think about it, I'd say that makes sense because if Gohan was still stronger then the speed and evasiveness of UI wouldn't matter since we've seen characters who are stronger than goku, bypass and react to UI for example when goku went UI omen for the 1st time, jiren still easily dodged and countered with no issues and black frieza blitzed goku so bad, UI looked like child's play.

Goku did have the upper hand on Gohan after he went back into UI. Even still I won't downplay Gohan to say he's that much weaker than goku or say he's weak because vegeta went in using blue(even though vegeta could've went in using ego but we won't know since there was a cut from the beginning of the battle Royale to the end)

Because you're contradicting what actually happened, Gohan recovered immediately and was perfectly fine without any damage, Goku was trying to end the fight and not harm Gohan. I mean base Goten and trunks were fighting SSJ Broly so if you're going to bring up Blue Vegeta vs Gohan we must consider the full picture but I see what you're saying.

If we can say Gohan recovered completely fine then what about goku? Gohan landed two attacks on him and then goku reverted back to base and makes a face as if he's been poked by a needle, then questions Gohan about his power boost in that instant, then immediately goes into UI completely fine as if nothing happened. Now honestly by the looks of those attacks, gohan technically should've knocked goku's screws loose but he only says ow and then proceeds to go back into that form as if nothing happened

A lot of people got super tilted with Gohan surpassing Goku in this fight, but given the difference in their potential canonically, it shouldn't come as a surprise. The first time Gohan trained seriously, before he even had PUBES he got so ridiculously strong that Goku was like "eh, no need for me anymore, the universe is safe now!" Then literally dies without a care in the world 😅 Vegeta was right when he stated that if Gohan took his training seriously he would be the strongest Saiyan... He was literally steaming mad at Gohan for wasting his ability and talent. I don't think Gohan will be a better fighter than Vegeta or Goku for a long time (assuming he doesn't fall off again), but he does possess the raw power in peak form to simply blow the power gap wide open and overwhelm more skilled opponents... Similar to Broly but in a controlled and calculated manner. Gohan is freaking dangerous now bro 😅

This is how I see it personally. The saiyans keep out doing each other so the order keeps changing

it's simple goku and gohan are even gohan is physically stronger and faster but goku is more strategic and has more experience in fighting people stronger than him it's basically muscles vs brains and it's ironic that gohan is muscle and goku is brains and i feel like it makes alot of sense. During the fight gohan charges up and hits goku with 2 very strong blows and sends him into base and keep in mind the hax of UI aren't just dodging and blocking but also enhancing the user's durability as shown in the moro arc but still he was able to knock him base now it's a proof gohan is stronger people use the arguement that goku went back into MUI but it doesn't mean anything cause you don't need to exhaust the opponent in order to knock them in their base if you're stronger and get a really good blow or straight up kill them you can revert them in their base for example when vegeta went SSB and knocked out ssj cabba in his base and when hit killed goku and made him revert to base meaning gohan is stronger plus goku stated they weren't fighting until the end of someone getting completely defeated as it's a sparring match plus gohan has more endurance and durability as every hit goku has done to him was ineffective. UI becomes irrelevant when the opponent is stronger than them but goku is still dodging even tho gohan is stronger the reason to that is thanks to vegeta as he stated that goku had the advantage because of his experience in fighting people who were stronger than him like cell,buu,hit,jiren and etc. to further prove my point that goku was having sometimes the upperhand because of his experience in the granolah when vegeta fought granola in SSBE he was on par with granolah even tho he was able to take out MUI goku and as vegeta stated was because of his lack of experience in fighting plus goku is a strategist when it come to fighting as he made the instant kamehameha, he went SSBKK when zamasu and goku black fused because if he used it earlier goku black would have also had kaioken as don't forget he stole goku's body meaning he also has kaioken or when he adapted to hit's timeskip because he thought of the idea of using his instincts and iit worked out. so overall in a full fight between these two it's clear it would be a tie whether you like or not.

Do we not just think that the “beast form (super saiyan 2)” is just the 2nd form of the form Goku goes into for mastered ultra instinct(white haired form). Whis said that Goku transforms when he uses ultra instinct in order for his body to keep up with the autonomous movement or something along those lines. The transformation itself is not specifically tied to ultra instinct. That’s why there’s omen and true ultra instinct.

The amount of people who think Goku and Vegeta got exponentially stronger during the tournament, with comments like ”Blue Goku without Kaioken is now stronger than UI Omen the first time”, is absolutely insane😆 If it isn’t enough that that kind of power boost suddenly makes no sense, the series isn’t even trying to imply that kind of growth lmao. When Vegeta attacks Jiren for the first time and gains the upper hand for a second, Vegeta literally yells at Jiren for holding back, that he used more power when he fought Goku (aka against Blue Kaioken & UI omen). And then Jiren starts to take Vegeta a bit more seriously and bodies him. They got a bit stronger where their attacks ”sharpened” towards the end, but Blue Goku at the end is nothing compared to Blue Kaioken x 20 from the start, and definitely not anywhere close to UI omen..😆 UI is in its own tier in the ToP arc, and that tier is only reached by Goku 3 times during the tournament. If Goku would have gotten that much stronger in just Blue, we would have gotten a comment about that, but we didn’t.

Jirens statements are also inconsistent. I love how yall like to cherry pick over sources. And UI isnt a fusion level increase I've debunked this multiple times. And yall took the heroes fight out of context as Cumber was in base and he was weak from having his tailed removed and was low on stamina

There are too many continuities when it comes to Dragon Ball super next there should’ve been a concrete way to represent the level of power. Now if after vegeta dies, frieza decided to go 100% and attack goku and goku did it to him then I'd be like you got me but can't use an example when the stronger person is openly toying with the competition. Supreme kai does it on buu also but everyone has feats on buu. Kid trunks had him skipping across the ground but no one thinks kid trunks is stronger than Majin vegeta.

I believe gohan is faster and stronger than gohan by a significant margin. People forget that UI isn't just a power up in terms of increased speed and power but it is also reaction speed hax meaning that characters that can tag UI are already significantly faster than goku already and that even a potentially faster character still would have a difficult time actually touching him because of the nature of the technique. The fact that gohan with 2 punches is able to knock goku out of UI show's an insane different level of power but goku's experience and UI utilization narrows this gap.
