I, generally, use a ratcheting, interchangeable regular-sized screwdriver for the initial loosening of screws. Here's a link to the brand I use:

Get some additional, varying sizes Flathead and Phillips bits while you're at it.
The adjustable wrenches I use (instead of hex nut wrenches) are Husky, but these (with the red insert) work very well... 6-inch will be used the most:

If you prefer to use hex nut wrenches, I'd recommend angled/offset ones, like these:

Good to see Penn offering these for older Senators. Those reels last a lifetime. I like the use of the straightened jighead. A bodkin for fly tying is great for reaching those hard to reach spaces. You can get them in fly tying sections of bass pro or fly shops for a few bucks and they’re incredibly useful

Glad to see Penn offer this upgrade instead of fakes AND RIP-OFF on another site that I don't care to mention. (off the hook rod and reel repair) I like your site.

I USED A CAN OF COMPRESSED AIR WITH THE RED PLASTIC NOZZLE EXTENSION ON IT TO BLOW AIR DOWN THE GROOVE IT WILL LIFT THE WASHER ENOUGH TO FREE IT FROM THE BOTTOM THE GREESE HOLDS IT IN , THEN YOU CAN GET IT WITH THIN WIRE OR SOMETIMES IT'LL FALL OUT FOR YOU.

Thanks for watching! Funny enough, I don't necessarily test the drags on star drag reels (maybe I should) because the pressure is partly determined by how much a given person can crank the star drag down (some people use wrenches). Sorry for the long winded response..... anyhow, based on what Tani says, you should be able to get 25lbs of drag out of a greased set of the HT-100's.... more than enough to stop most any fish out there.

I have a 12/0 senator and I want to increase my drag from the 30ish it pulls now (I don’t remember how much it’s supposed to). Is there a possible way to increase it to like 45+

Thanks for checking out the video. I don't know either, but you could grind the metal washers flat and run new HT-100's dry to increase the drag without changing the setup of the reel.

If they're HT-100 (or similar) drags, I'd prefer to leave them dry if I didn't have grease designed for use on drags.

Do not use regular reel grease for drags, you will damage the drag washers and if the drags get a blistering run, the drags will glaze. Once it glazes over you will lose drag pressure or it will seize. Use the drag grease that is shown and don’t get it contaminated with regular reel grease. Use Cal.’s drag/reel grease or Shimano drag grease for the HT100’s or Carbontex.
