I'm constantly amazed at people with gigantic sidewall slicks and 90/10 shocks doing insane, uncontrolled burnouts that DONT expect to crash.

Me too. Why have a track with guard rails so close that it's nearly impossible not to crash if one veers off the road? there's enough land to have wider tracks.

Luckily, most of these are so modded and aftermarket there isn't anything original left.

Gene Snow and Rambunctious, Little Red Wagon and my favorite Hemi Under Glass. No Crashes but nice wheelies for the fans. I was there, Lions, OCR, Pomona and Famosa. 1966 -1975

At the end after that huge wheelie you hear that little kid say he broke it. Yes he sure did. I couldn't help myself and laugh. I just hope the driver wasn't injured.

I heard that too when I was editing the video. I was wondering if a kid was talking to another kid that might have been picking at something on the car and it fell off. But you could be right he might have just said this thing is broken. And yes the driver was fine after this accident and actually has the car all back together and doing wheelie contests once again. The reason why he didn't lift is because his spotter was yelling to lift but the radio communications were not working and the driver didn't hear it. And he said he didn't think he was that close to the wall either. Tough guy.

Yeah it's hard to control the car when the brakes are locked up. Should have kept off the brakes and steered left.

It got an award for something related, Best Save, Closest Call, can't remember what, I saw the event on another channel. The 'Olds' crashed at the same event. That guy is lucky; a fraction of an inch of more torque steer to the left, and he would have been killing people.

the truck at 3:52 did not even need to be out there.....he was way behind and spinning so should have lifted but hit the wall instead and then locked the brakes up instead of steering it strait and hit the wall again and then used the wall to stop the truck.....looked like his first pass ever

If you pay attention to before he hits the wall for the second time and when they’re inspecting the truck after the fact, look at his wheels. Tie rods break, control arms bend or crack, wheels bend and/or break. You try keeping that thing on a line.

if he had been racing in sweden he would not been doing the second run.. becouse unlike Murrica here in sweden crashed cars dont race.. and slam your car onto the track like that and the rescue crew will stop you from goin out on the track.. atleast the crew im in..
