Andy, love the videos and of course MUCH respect for Holly. I've been doing a Andy Mechanics marathon today in between working on the Drag Bikes. Yes, plural. Waiting on parts mostly, a unfortunate sign of the times. If I may Andy, believe it or not, there's 2 sides to the steel plates. YES, they do work either way, but there's a inside and outside. Let me explain. They're stamped out of a big plate. The die rolls over the edge, cutting the plate out, and leaving a sharp edge on the opposite side. In a Race Application, it's truly important to orient the rolled edge outward, or towards the pressure plate. Again, for 99 percent of applications, it doesn't matter, but I thought you would appreciate the insight. I learned decades ago from a Honda Engineer, and even to this day, the lock-up clutch on my Harley Drag Bike, it's imperative that the rolled edges go out on the steels. I use the U.S. version of the same bike for a Pit Bike, a Paddock bike perhaps in your side of the world. Our bikes do not have a kick starter, or a oil cooler. I wish my bike had both. The electric starter sprag arrangement is a joke. But overall it's a good little bike. T.S. RACING

I love her because I dont see her as a dresser up girl. She seems to be a very mature warm-hearted and sensible person that supports the show although she otherwise rarely would do it in personal interests. God so adorable!

The old steel plates. Keep one and weld a bolt to it makes a good tool for holding the basket if you ever need to

How do you get hold of the service manual for your bikes you always have the proper suzuki one do you have to go to suzukis we normally only a Haynes manual?

Hi 👋 Andy and Hhhiii Hollye! Oh men, she so cute 🥰 and interesting. I would like to have a “beer o’clock” with her and you too. Lucky 🍀 you! About that kind of gaskets: I recently had to do a similar job on my Suzuki Jimni timing chain cover and its matching surface on the crankcase because damn LPG f…ed up my (soft) exhaust valves and valve housings at just 60k km… LPG is barely good for kitchens and now it’s also expensive. Furthermore she (my Suzuki) doesn’t like it because it hasn’t hydraulic lifters and I didn’t check play on them. What a f…ing bill 💵 came out !! So, if I could get the part on the bench I use a gentle nylon brush on a air tool and some gasoline to soften silicone a little bit. When I fit a new gasket I apply some natural resins based sticky sealing liquid that comes in small bottles with a brush integrated underneath its cap. We call it “ermetico”. It improves sealing and help keeping gaskets in place during operations. But I’m pretty sure you already knows it. About the torque wrench tightening good habit: I’m very touched …here around every time I’ve asked a mechanics to use it, especially for my katana’s wheel (she eats a set of tires every 3.5k km) it seems they’re asked to walk the middle aisle of the church wearing a classical ballet 🩰 pink tutu with their d..k “facing at the window “. Excuse me, it can run 300 km per hour and car and bikes are made by soft materials as aluminum and plastic nowadays…it’s really easy to strip a thread o break something…. I personally really don’t understand this idiosyncrasy for using torque wrench 🔧 properly. More ore less sounds like when you give your dog a bath, it feels annoyingly too clean and it has to roll itself into dust to be good. Anyway they’re just bolts and sometimes I take them too seriously. Have a super duper good life.

I think Andy should have pulled Holley`s emergency tag. My bet is red panties to match the bra. Holley rocks!

Maybe you should have Holley do a carburettor!

Great video this is something I need to do on my little dr200 what did you end up giving for oem parts ...I had a old gs650g that took me A year to get valves for it.

The Genuine parts cost me a little over $200 New Zealand, that was new fiber & steel plates, clutch cover gasket & new clutch springs. Not too bad I thought. Yes, parts supply is becoming a huge issue now for all brands of motorcycle unfortunately Cheers Andy

@@AndyMechanic I was going to try to do it on the cheap and only change the fibers but if your in there you might as well do it right but I am going to try your trick with using the oil you soak the fibers in tell Tell Holly she did a good job she maid it look easy
