Such a shame that this lady had to suffer for 10 years before getting the help she needed. Well done Dr Emma.
I’m so grateful that there are incredibly clever and talented people like Dr. Emma that can help people like her patient. She’s given her a quality of life she didn’t have when she arrived. Thank you, Dr. Emma!
Oxygen chamber is sth great. To get this treatment via a normal doctor is nearly impossible here and it is hell of expensive. Glad it helped. It helps treating a lot of conditions
I don't have ulcers on my feet. I struggle so much walking. I have chronic vascular ulcers on my lower legs and have so much trouble walking. I wish I could walk like this lady. I am so very hopeful and send prayers that this lady can gain parts of her life back. Thank you TLC for bringing light to this and many other debilitating illnesses out there. 😊

@@adamwinters448 🙏🙏🙏🙏for your healing!!!
I done hyperbaric therapy several times because I get diabetic ulcers on my feet . It is remarkable and heals quickly.
God bless this dear lady! I cannot imagine how much she has suffered with those open wounds all these years. Thank you, Dr Emma, for knowing which treatments would heal her legs and feet. She looks 10 years younger now that so much pain has been alleviated. I pray you will be completely healed from this dreadful disease. 🙏🏻
So glad she got better. Ten years and no doctor told her about the oxygen treatment wow.
So glad to see her get help, thank you Dr. Emma.
I’m so happy for her! She really does look fantastic after starting treatment
My grandad had this problem he also got an eating flesh bacteria, sadly that treatment here in Ecuador is so expensive, So a navy doctor saw his case, and helped him get oxygen treatment He recovered after 5 times in that machine and managed to save his leg.
I'm so very happy for her. God bless her and the wonderful Doctor!!
So sorry praying for a speedy recovery 🙏🙏🙏
You’re a gentle sweet Dr.
My heart goes out to this beautiful lady😢❤
Kate looks like a different person! So happy for her that her ulcers are finally healing.

Great respect to this lady. Not sure how she manages day-to-day with that much damage to her feet.
So sorry for you.🥲🥲🥲
Dr.Emma the best.
Bless her, I know that has to be so painful.
Dr. Emma is fantastic, she sure knows her skin problems
Thank you Dr Emma for helping lovely katie with her leg wounds. Her improvment was astounding and fast. Awesome content ❤🎉
The treatment literally shaved 20 years clear off of her! She looked like such a sweet and lovely person from the start but after treatment she is absolutely glowing. I'm so glad that she can be free of that ghastly pain.
How come her diet is not addressed? That's a critical factor with diabetes.

Poor lady

😢 that looks so painful. How awful to have that to live with.
The ulcers are healing up amazingly well and lime Dr. Emma said her face is glowing.

I suggested that my aunt do this, but her Dr didnt, and she got gangrene and died.
Oh my god wowwwe the progress the human body is truly amazing god is amazing for making us this way
Goodluck and may the good lord help you
I`ve seen this video before... that`s a year ago... what`s the update of the patient?
I have a chronic pain problem and when I get numbing injections every couple months I'm completely exhausted afterwards, to the point that I have to get someone to drive me home. When you're in extreme pain all the time you don't register the psychical toll that level of strain puts on your body.
Oh nooo
I wonder if they have this treatment in America
Oxygen chambers are in our small area
Do anyone know if there is a place in the USA that offers something like this???

Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Ohio. Have several locations , the chamber is quite different, you have to have a helmet type thing over your head, not a mask like she had on so the entire chamber is oxygenated. Have to wear only 100% Cotten clothes, no electronics because at 100% oxygen the fire risk is very high … At least 8weeks everyday day for a little over 2 hrs. Very intent treatment but painless.

Ask your doctor if your hospital or one in your network has a wound clinic. Most of them now have hyperbaric oxygen chambers if they're doing wound care. My dad had a 4"x5" ulcer on his leg from varicose veins complicated by lymphedema and he's also diabetic. He was being "treated" by the VA, who just kept giving him different options, creams, mixtures of creams, and nothing else. I finally got him to go to a primary care, who referred him to the wound clinic. They were phenomenal! Not everyone needs hyperbaric oxygen right off the bat. They tried something called an Unna Boot on my dad, and it worked well. They applied a steroid cream, then wound dressing called Promagran Prisma Ag, which contains regenerated cellulose, collagen and silver. It turns into a gel that helps start wound granulation, while the silver. Then they laid something called Xeroform over that, which is a petroleum jelly soaked dressing, over that, then wrapped it in the Unna Boot, which is a calamine and zinc soaked bandage wrap. They topped that with a Coban wrap, which is that self adherent stuff. He had to have that changed weekly for a while, but we were seeing massive improvements every single week. They also ordered him lymphedema pumps once vein studies showed he didn't have any veinous reflux. Had he not responded so well, or so fast, to treatment, they would have done hyperbaric treatments. This was a hospital that's in a town of about 11k, so you may not necessarily have to travel to someplace as large as Cleveland Clinic, which will undoubtedly be more expensive than an in-network hospital. If you do find somewhere close, especially if you're offered a couple, make sure you check their patient reviews for your final decision. Good luck! 💜
Many years ago my step mums mum had these and nothing worked at all. She was at the end of her tether and with the GP they allowed me to use Helichrysum Italicum and Cistus rock not directly on the skin but within the dressings. Within months they had all healed and my knowledge as a clinical aromatherapist really helped her to heal when nothing was helping after 4 years of the NHS helping. I believe it pushed her healing in to repairing and then the western medicine along with the aromatherapy allowed her to heal and she is in her 90’s.
I wonder if they ever did an angiogram on Katie... My mum had ra and a leg ulcer like Katie's and it was caused by her ra narrowing/the collapsing her arteries. My mum never had the oxygen therapy though. In the end my mum had her leg amputated. And her ra killed her.

Was she on an antibiotic as well? Any change to the diet? I think if we eat foods that are good for our skin then the rest of our health improves by default.

This is an awful disease. The patient looks younger and happier!!
I like this lady has Mr. Bean eyes. 😂
I have a friend living in the UK, who is disabled, who I wish could see a sympathetic and helpful doctor, like Dr. Emma! Her own doctors and dentists tell her things like, "Pain is not a reason for treatment," "You just have to learn to live with the pain," "It's your anxiety, your pain is all in your head," and "Have you just tried being mindful?" Disgusting, the (lack of) treatment that some genuinely sick people get, at the hands of so-called medical professionals.
I was told by a personal trainer to attach a sit-up device to the bottom of my bedroom door, do a minimum of 20 sit-ups per day using the device, make sure I'm using my feet to pull my body up,. This will result in my feet and ankles getting more circulation. This will prevent edema and other feet and leg problems. You have to get blood circulated to the feet regularly.
Compression bandaging
Come to Ghana and see Dr Charles Ansah am American trained physician who practised for 40yrs in America. He can be located Kumasi , at a suburb called Atasemanso.

That's just inaccurate information. Much of the protocol for healing an ulceration in the leg or foot, specifically using an Unna Boot, will require a certain level of moisture to help the medication work.
Oxygen therapy won't help a women who doesn't get her diabetes under control.
Please please please take diabetic foot care seriously. -❤️a wound care RN Also hyperbaric chamber therapy is amazing!

Did you watch the video? She's diabetic, she has RA. The ulcers are caused by pyoderma gangrenosum.
Wow, it is exactly the same but you look a diferent person!😅
Omfg WOW
Oh my goodness, so much color in her face.
God Bless her! I hope she continues to feel better and does not have any new ulcers. Isn't this what King Henry VIII. had?
@idalaursen8935

Not to be cruel but do you mean Henry the eight? When you write numerals you put the largest number first (V = 5) then to add to that you put smaller numbers after (I = 1) if you write the smaller numbers prior to the large number, you subtract. So you essentially wrote Henry the second. But since I do not know the British Royal history that well King Henry II might have had a skin condition. But hen you would write his number with II as you would write the fewest numbers possible.

Let's also not ignore the fact that this is largely caused by diabetes. Stay healthy folks, keep away from processed stuff, excess of carbs and obv sugar!!

@@TaylorTireeAnd as she also has rheumatoid arthritis it’s probably rooted in her immune system

It's not, it's an autoimmune disorder. Type 1 diabetes may run *concurrent* since it's also an autoimmune disorder but it's more likely to show with Rheumatoid Arthritis or Crohn's disease. Either way, you can be as healthy as you want and autoimmune disorders will still kick your ass. You can't really control if you develop them or not and anyone that says you can is victim blaming or trying to sell you something.

Hydrogen peroxide 35% down to a lower percentage would possibly clear those ulcers ..it does everything else, nothing can get past hydrogen peroxide I have been using it for many different skin complaints ...that's what hydrogen peroxide is .concentrated oxygen..
Who else would love to see a follow up in several months? 🙋♀️
