Beautiful strawberry blonde hair on him, mine was exactly the same when I was young, with very pale sparse eyebrows and lashes. I’m so glad his skin has improved immensely, very light skin and hair with red inflamed skin isn’t great to live with.

Love Dr. Emma! And as a fair skinned blonde myself, I have had to deal with (not like his case) red faced skin when it’s not pale! lol! Not much in between! He seems to be doing much better thanks to the treatment from Dr. Emma!! 😊

As soon as I saw her rub his skin I knew exactly what it was because I was diagnosed two weeks ago with the same condition in the same location although my face isn’t as red as his. I was prescribed ketoconazole shampoo that is red and a oil based medicine out of a dropper to put on my scalp

I was recently prescribed this same shampoo for my excessively flaky scalp. Unfortunately, it didn't help to alleviate my symptoms [any more than the Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength that I had already been using].

​@@BasicYTHandleYou might want to try a zinc soap. I use Noble Formula soap that was recommended by my dermatology PA, and the difference was astonishing. I wish I could guarantee it will work for you, but it's not that expensive, so I hope it works for you! 😊

I was prescribed this for scalp psoriasis when I was a teenager and Ive used it 3 times a week ever since lol. I've asked multiple derms if there's anything out there that works better and they all say no, much to my dismay. Anyways, I've forgotten what real shampoo smells like.

I found to a physician who specializes in more “cosmetic” skin problems. I had to pay out of pocket for the laser treatment. I agree that healthcare in the US has become a huge problem. I actually felt lucky to find someone who would help me.

I have this as well so I realised that diagnosis was coming haha. For me the medicated shampoo in my hair and beard really makes a massive difference- I’ve recently tried to use another one and it’s getting bad again so I’m happy to use what works! I use the creams on bad areas but doctor said I was generally already doing everything right to keep on top of it. I have SLE so seborrheic dermatitis can be more common in lupus patients, i was just relieved bc I had lesions that were different from the rest of my SD and worried about discoid lupus but my doctor confirmed they were also the SD

I have this condition and used nizoral shampoo on my face hair and eyebrows. It’s good but had to stop use on face as the skin around my eyes was allergic. I then got ketaconazole cream which really helped a lot. Sometimes i would have to use hydrocortisone cream as the inflammation and itch was bad. My skin is very fair and sensitive to everything. Particularly Celtic skin. This man isa descendant from the vikings. I really wish I could get the laser treatment. What a difference looks great. Love the amazing hair.

I wonder what shampoo and cream he was given for his seborrheic dermatitis

I have this in patches on my scalp, eyebrows, and a few other spots. Clobex (clobetasol) knocked it down enough so then I could keep it under control with products containing tea tree oil. After the Clobex, it was also easier to recognize when a flare was coming on, when before it was just one big flare.

I had sebborheic dermatitis around my nose and I cut out dairy, sugar, and alcohol and it went away by itself

Wow. I would have looked at him and guessed he was a heavy whiskey drinker. My uncle is a heavy whiskey and beer drinker, plus he smokes cigarettes like crazy and his skin is red like this. He's olive complected under all that red which kind of makes him look almost a grey-ish green color. You can see the purple capillaries under the skin, especially around the nose and chin area. I see that's a huge sign and difference between the skin and its coloration on two totally different gentlemen.
