Hi ! DPR IAN/Christian Yu is suffering from Bipolar and DID !! (Dissociative Identity Disorder which is caused experiencing severe trauma over a long time in childhood. By experiencing trauma in childhood, you take on different identities and behaviours to protect yourself. As you grow up these behaviours become more fully formed until it looks like you have different identities) Ian talks about his disorders very openly and he reflects his own experiences into his art. He has a creative mind so of course there is a storyline going on in his songs/mvs. There are characters such as MITO, Mr. Insanity and The Hybrid…. MITO represents his manic lows (depression) MITO has a dark aura around him he has one white eye and when the scenes are Black and White you can tell its MITO. A fact: MITO is one of his alters in the DID system. He holds all the truamatic memories away from Ian. Mr. Insanity represents his manic highs. He is seems fun, colorful yet dangerous beacuse Mr. Insanity gets what he wants without thinking about the consequences (like the key he stole from “So I Danced” MV) The Hybrid represents the world in between of MITO and Mr. Insanity that switch peroid..(You see him in the LIMBO MV) Ian didnt want to tell his real name (the hybrid) beacuse Ian told us that it would give him too much power. I wanted to give you a info about the characters and all that. I hope it helps you to understanding him. Gonna give you some different info since most comments are the same IAN is a korean/Australian singer'producer and video director He first made his debut back in 2012 as a member/Leader of the kpop boy group C-Clown In 2015 his boy group disbanded and he along with his friend DPR Live ( Famous korean rapper) Founded the music and video collective DPR (Dream perfect Regime) he would produce all of rapper Live's music videos as well as some korean hip-hop artists videos and also some kpop artists videos For years he left the music industry and just became the man behind the camera Its only in these recent years that hes finally made a comeback in the music industry and it was also his first time openly talking about his struggles dealing with being Bipolar and DID
