Mito was first introduced already at the So Beautiful MV. All of the black and white scenes are Mito. This MV was the first time that Ian's switch was recorded. He had a black out and when he came back he asked ˜When are the cameras going to start rolling?˜and the camera operator answered ˜We've already done 3 takes of it". And then he noticed that he was drenched (for the scenes where it's raining inside the room). Ian said that seeing Mito made it extremely hard to edit and that some scenes he just couldn't leave in. Notice that at the end of Nerves he said ˜I loved you, he loved you˜and then it cuts to a black and white scene of Mito with the white eye. Implying that they both loved her. Also, it's important to notice that ever since Ian disclosed that he has DID he started to refer to Mito and Mr Insanity as alters, even if he still refers to Mr Insanity also as his manic phase. I barely see him say "manic low" anymore. I personally think he just used this expression to somehow explain his disorders through only a bipolar point of view since he wasn't ready yet to come out as also having DID. He was kind of testing the waters. The phrase "manic low" doesn't make sense anyway since mania is inherently a high phase, in medical terms you can't be manic and be "low" at the same time.
