Cows are not dumb, they can smell the death and decay of a slaughterhouse and know instinctively that they need to get away. I hope the Slaughterhouse has been made to pay for any damaged property.

Exactly. And even if they were dumb (which they're not) it wouldn't justify any of the horrible things humans put them through. There's a reason slaughterhouses have no windows and animal ag gag laws try to make it illegal for people to film what going on in there and on the farms: they know most people would be horrified.

Half of what they eat gets burnt in their own metabolism. Yeah poor cows they deserve respect. Beef is not even sustainable they are not native to america. It takes 2000 gallons of water per 1lb of beef and increases carbon footprint, creates toxic sandstorms, and endangers salmon species.

When I was 15 I used to live in the North of Scotland with nothing but hills and fields surrounding my house, in those fields where cows and I often went to sit in the fields with them, they are so gentil and so curious they would run after our dog when we went for walks... Good memories!!

Yes, free cows are like big happy dogs, running and rolling around in the grass, chasing each other. Sadly, this is not something most cows ever get to experience. This is why I'm vegan; I don't want to pay for others to abuse and kill animals in my name.

I feel bad for what people do to animals in farms and slaughterhouses. Animal ag tries so hard to make sure no one knows what goes on there because people would be rightfully put off their 'food.' That's why I'm vegan. It's not a difficult change to make at all. If you're not already vegan, I hope you consider it now. 💚🌱

Just a heads up most ranchers and farmers take excellent care of the herd then when it’s time to harvest are able to kill instantly and painlessly. The only crime is factory farming for giant corporations but this can be solved if everyone simply supports their local farmers instead. The issue is not many people know that they can fix the problem

I eat meat, but I don't like the way animals are treated before they die. I won't eat lamb because I feel they should at least get to live a while before getting killed. If we could synthesize all the proteins needed and sell that I would definitely eat it as an alternative.

I eat meat but I stand against inhumane conditions of slaughterhouses and treatment of animals. Animals are not to be abused if we are to eat them we must treat them with the utmost respect and care before they are slaughtered. I would also eat vegan and vegetarian substitutes for things. Vegan stuff has a nice unique taste.

I know that's right! Y'all got outta that horror flick slaughter house and got to safety! All these beautiful animals in this world are a lot smarter than some of these humans walkin around here.

Were they then immediately rounded up and SLAUGHTERED anyway? Because as every good carnist knows, they are not sentient and only desire to be sat on a supermarket shelf in a plastic tray so that the 'people' buying them don't have to think about the sentience of and theft of a life experienced by some of the most gentle affectionate beings on the planet, they put humanity to shame!! Yet some insist the words 'Humane' and 'Slaughter' belong in the same phrase.

Well said my friend but as a vegan myself I tell my vegan friends that never ever put the guilt on meat eaters. Or never call them a murderer, it's sad but we should also respect them. I am not gullible nor am I ignoring the red flags knowing its there. I just tell them make it less suffer able and miserable for the animals. And I also hate when people put Humane and slaughter in the same phase. There is no such thing as Slaughtering them Humanely. The saddest part is that we can't do anything about it, we just have our voices that's all

@@sunandmoon139 While I agree with part of your sentiment Sun and Moon, your defeatist attitude will get us nowhere, whereas making people aware of their complacency whether intentional or not is key to aiding in their journey towards paradigm shift, as most of them have little idea of the reality of the situation and suffering they help to facilitate, I grew up on a farm and studied agriculture Sun and Moon, and I can tell you this for a fact, we loved our animals, we would never have wanted to cause them harm, however our perspectives were limited by our limited awareness of all the facts. On top of that, at no point did I label anyone a murderer, I'm glad you inferred that but it's not what I said, good luck on your journey, please try to be more productive and proactive and less defeatist.

The wild? Cattle in the wild? These are domesticated animals. They don't live in, nor can they survive in the wild.

As much as it’s scary, I’m glad those cows got out, they saved themselves! I hope anyone the cows passed by are okay, and I hope the cows are safe! I hope the slaughterhouse pays for any damages

Every being wants to be free and just because I am a vegan, that doesn't mean all my views are morally right and I'm not calling you a murderer nor I'm putting all the guilt to the meat eaters. I just want you to know that it's also very healthy to be a vegan too,but it's really hard to be a vegan I'm not gonna lie. I can't and we vegans can't change the world but we wanted to ask you guys that can we make it less suffer able and less miserable for the animals at the least. Why not try new things like going vegetarian for a week. It won't hurt I bet you and in all things that you do, we respect you. Please look at the world from our Eyes and we can also see the world from you Eyes too.

You are so subversively anti plant based I suspect you are either a bit simple/only vegan for one or two months/a hack for the meat industry!! I am the first person from my family and my small community to be a vegan. Everyone calls me mad and dumb. All I eat now is Potato fry and that's all, with some rice. I guess you are from the states, you should appreciate your privilege, where there is different sections in the grocery store for plant base and for the non plant base. I can't even wear woolen sweater

@@alexsmith1207 well, not really. You can find literally every vitamin and nutrient in plants. Meat has those too but comes with obesity, cancer, antibiotics (yes because of the antibiotics we give farm animals we now have growing numbers of antibiotic resistant bacteria)
