Join me for a walk around one of the oldest towns in all of Ireland - Downpatrick! Famously the site of the grave of St. Patrick, Downpatrick is home to a wealth of history on every corner, with the only full-size heritage railway in all of Ireland, the island's oldest coaching inn, and a variety of imposing landmarks lining its streets.
On our walk around Downpatrick, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Down Cathedral, St. Patrick's Cross, St. Patrick's Grave, Downpatrick High Cross, English Street, the Southwell School, the Judges' Lodgings, Down County Gaol (now Down County Museum), Downpatrick Courthouse, Denvir's of Downpatrick, Downpatrick Town Hall, Market Street, Downpatrick Shambles, the St. Patrick Centre, Penannular Brooch Sculpture, and the Downpatrick & County Down Railway.
