I was on alert in Oct 1973 with the 82nd Airborne for Israel! I had volunteered for the Army. I was messed up. My high school counselor Mr. Olson suggested I join the Army and grow up. I even volunteered for Viet Nam. I grew up. Quit drugs. I Learned good work ethic. I suggest the same for the disrespectful youth today. I chose a life in the right direction. I chose life. Not death. God is Good. My 1st weekend at Ft Bragg going to DC and standing on the streets during the VN Protests! Wow. Wake up call for me. I am voting Trump. I love my country still.

Isaiah said that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. People who don’t admit this, believe that peace with terrorists is possible. They can’t fathom that there are very evil people with a completely different set of values, to whom violence is desirable and peace is anathema. It is only when humans acknowledge God, and His standards, on some level, that man will choose life and blessing. Some do this while claiming to be atheists, so they have no foundational basis for doing good, but by doing good, they are living in a way that acknowledges a standard of right and wrong, good and evil, outside themselves. Interestingly, even by using a 7-day week, people are acknowledging God’s order, established at creation.

I have warned people about this aspect of Islam for close to 20 years only to be called a racist. One always wonders what one and everyone else would have done in 1930’s Germany. Murray’s analogy of the flare identifying everyone where they stand is so on the mark.
