Saw a live performance by him in Belgium, and had the pleasure of spending about 20 minutes with him afterwards, sharing a good beer. What a great man! Funny, empathic, good storyteller, and the way he plays a guitar is amazing. My favourite blues artist for sure.

as the Japanese used to say, "Wabi" ! ("simple but elegant", minimal but great)

The camera work from right to left on his fingers is astonishing. The whole performance is just extraordinary, his voice, story telling and playing is just right out of this world... I love this kind of music!!!!

Just the best solo bluesman around, just gets better with age ... and the nicest of men, to boot. Lookin' forward to seeing him here in the UK in July.

+Tom Simmons Tom, take a breath & tell me how an older white guy affecting a black man's voice & mannerisms to perform 2nd hand versions of black-written & created Blues music is in good taste? Now how am I confused about our complex world, again? If you decide that this man's music is good or on the level of what real blues or even top notch white blues can be then I think you need to start looking up because there's a whole lot of tree you have never seen.
