Doug Alexander was one of my massage instructors in Canada. he's brilliant. 7 yrs in and going strong. thanks Doug!!
I showed this video to my massage therapist and they have been using this technique for 6 months.
This was incredibly helpful - thank you so much! You literally calmed me down watching it :)
Omg this actualy helped my tmj problem. thank you
Very interesting. I can tell he's very good.
what's the name of the massage therapy used here??
Good.
Pls tell me haw to onep my lock jaw????
Doug, I deparately need to find someone who knows how to do this work in Southern NJ/Philadelphia. My masseter is in constant daily spasms and muscle relaxers or gabapentin does not help. Im constantly massaging it all day long with finger cots on my fingers with very little relief. It's driving me insane. Been 4.5 yrs nows since it started after multiple dental procedures. Know anyone in this area?? Please let me know

Hi, I dont know the area (from Canada here) but i would recommend just calling massage studios, specifically ones who pair with chiropractors or physio therapists (as they generally have a higher education expectation for hire). And see what the skill sets are with their specific therapists. EVERY therapist is different, some specialize in TMJ massage, others are general body workers. Pay attention to their accreditation, if is says something like RMT (registers Massage Therapist) or LMT (licenced massage therapist) then its also possible that they have learned these techniques in the past and can recall them to help you out. Also, you can specifically ask for a TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) massage. If you're still struggling, there might be videos on here to help with Self Massage of TMJ, as most of this work can be done by yourself - as long as you understand how to relax your own body to help other areas of your body relax. Hope that helps.
