Please sir help me . Solve please sir . Que:- A reinforced concrete beam of size 300 × 600 mm with 25 mm effective cover has been cast using M 25 grade of concrete and Fe 415 grade of steel. It is reinforced with 5-20 mm diameter bar at bottom. The beam carries uniformly distributed service load 15 kN/m over a span of 7.5 m. Using limit state method determine the distance where (i) 2-bars and (ii) 3-bars can be bent from the consideration of flexure, anchorage and bond. Show the details with the help of figure.

If additional reinforcing bars are placed only in the compression side of a reinforced concrete beam, will they add significantly to the beam's flexural strength?

It depends on the degree of ductility of the beam. When the beam section is super ductile, the compression bars will not have a significant effect on the flexural strength of the beam; in fact its effect is negligible. However when the section of the beam is near to the max ductility limit, the compression bar will give significant increase on the flexural strength.

Lods sana mapansin mo. Tanung ko lang po. Anu po yung gagawin kapag yung reduction factor is magkaiba. kung kukunin siya interms of strain compare sa interms of fs or fy. Magkaiba po value

Parehas lang yun kasi strain=stress/E. Where E is constant naman for steel. Tsaka fs lang ung tinitignan (actual stress experienced by steel) and hindi ung fy (yield strength of the material). Hope this helps! Thank you for your question
