The thing that's pee'd me off is his scuttling away like a coward to hide in a (probably) really swanky private clinic with an A La Carte menu. As someone who's suffered from mental health issues since I was 10 (now 55) who at times has had to plead and beg to get treatment and KNOWS that depression doesn't make people do the things Edwards did I feel insulted and mislabeled. The only reason his mental health is so poor is because he got caught, he KNOWS he's done more than enough for very serious consequences and his reputation is in tatters.

1) The BBC is not responsible for the behaviour of its' employees, except when they are at work. The BBC is not obliged, and is arguably not empowered, to investigate the private lives of its employees. 2) We have seen that there are problems with the story in The Sun. The alleged victim says that it is not true and The Sun has watered down a number of its' claims. Perhaps the BBC felt that the allegations were not credible, especially since they were not accompanied by any evidence. 3) The mother of the alleged victim has refused to talk to the BBC - how can they investigate the situation when the complainant refuses to talk to them ? What does her refusal suggest about her good will and/or her integrity ?

I don't pay BBC license fee as we don't watch TV. Those excusing this as a "private affair" are within their right to their opinion, given that (so far) no law has been broken, but in my opinion, this is a married man with children. Nevermind his position as a high-profile presenter being paid for by already struggling license fee payers. He was skulking around with people young enough to be his grandchildren. He doesn't have mental health issues, he was perfectly fine up until he was caught when it became an excuse. He is sleazy and not the kind of person we should treat as 'the norm'.

Quite simply, if the public pay your salary, which if you're a BBC employee, they do - then using the clout that position brings for your own sleazy gratification by exploiting the vulnerable is in the public interests to know!

I think the reason "no criminality" was found is because the young drug addicted victim was magically provided with a high priced lawyer who advised him not to speak and likely coetced the parents to back off. I think Huw might have paid to make sure the victim and his family shut down so the investigation was not given any evidence. That is my personal opinion. Not one broadcaster has brought up this very obvious possibility.

If you watch or record any live broadcast from any source. If somebody does a facebook live video and you watch it then you need a TV licence to watch that. There have been cases in court where it has been said that that is so.

They should be able to write a story if someone is in the wrong. Did people care about Raab MP being hounded from his job because people didn’t like him , I don’t recall that he did anything ILEGAL ………..one act against Raab MP and another toward a man who trashes his marriage as a professed Christian whilst holding a high position in British society .
