Double LEGO Botanical Garden Modular Building!

Ойын-сауық

Today I build a LEGO Modular Botanical Garden using two sets and some instructions from Rebirkcalble. The original set is really nice, however, it has an open back so it feels incomplete and not eligible to be placed in the LEGO City. This remodel uses a lot of the original design concepts but finishes it off as a modular building! In this video we build the set, take a look at it, and place it in the LEGO city

Give it the breathing space, 8 studs each side, minimum. Paths leading to the doors lined with bushes or flowers. I'd personally take the gazebo out, move the farm and and place the gazebo next to the botanical garden, make more of an outside garden space, rather than having the farm in the middle.

I agree, begging for the extra space a 48x48 plate will bring, solves the space for mini figs issue on the outside nicely, too cramped at the minute

@@razorsitch9882 yep, shove the farm up against the raised platform, it's a bit of non-area, I prefer the city side more than the countryside. But if you move the farm up, you can have a much better space for garden and gazebo area, maybe add a picnic bench or two, little fountain.

A real botanical garden would have and outdoor garden and then a greenhouse/indoor area so definitely needs some space around the building with a path and more plants.

Plus, with the eight studs on either side...you can add small ponds at the bottom of the water falls.

Have you thought about putting it beside the bonsai tree park!? I feel they would go together great and would be awesome to ride the train past! Plus, as a botanic garden it would be a huge attraction for locals so it would fit well! You could maybe put the building site into the pop culture street and recreate some superhero fight scenes with it too!!!

We built this too and I added paths on either side to give it space and make it look better/ make sense in a city. The 48x48 would've been easier in the end, but I didn't want to have that much behind it - my city doesn't work as well with that depth.

  • @pmh3147

love this so much! in terms of placement, you could raise the whole building by 3 plates' height - or even more! - and build a sloped walk way on either side with landscaping and shrubbery that can help the whole building integrate into the surroundings and give it prominence that the fantastic dome so naturally commands and deserves (this may mean setting it recessed by a few studs from the pavement, which would give you room for more plants and stuff)

José's bakery looks more like a cake than a Lego set. When you were showing what the garden looked like after you finished it, somebody was sorting Lego or mixing Lego or were doing something with Lego. I could hear Lego being moved in the background. I'm not really a big fan of lego friends but the designer's really used some great pieces for that set.

Another option for keeping it to 32x32, rotate it 90 degrees. Then one door by the bench is facing the street and the other do faces the open green area in the rear which could eventually be the farmer’s market and minifigs could enter from the farmer’s market as well.
