In 19xx....
violence ruled the streets of now york city after the nuclear war. Even with the crime syndicates growing bigger every year, two young men were brave enough to chalenge them. While their names were Billy and Jimmy Lee...
people called them the Double Dragons!
And yet, the Dragons had one terrible enemy. To fight agains him was the destiny and fate of the Double Dragons.
One day, Shadow Warriors attacked the city and Billy's girlfriend, Marian, was killed.
The Double Dragons swore to avenge her death!

Music and text from the game Double Dragon II: The Revenge, developed and published by Technos (and published by Acclaim in the U.S.A.), released on NES in 1990.
Some arrangements are also inspired by the Arcade version of the game.

I'm not sure what makes my knuckles more sore...punching Shadow Warriors in the face in the year 19XX, or watching you play the soundtrack in one take on a piano in the year 2024.

Bravo sir. What is truly amazing and satisfying about listening to your interpretation is that you keep certain sections extremely “simple” and faithful to the original chiptune track (e.g. start of heliport stage) but then add wonderful complexity and extra depth to other sections. Perfect balance, with astounding technical ability on display too. Thank you for your hard work and artistry!

Une œuvre importante qui prend des dimensions de plus en plus impressionnantes. Chapeau, Maestro !
Je n'ai toujours pas changé d'avis sur ma musique préférée dans ce jeu. La première me plaît beaucoup, suivie de celle du conflit avec le "mystérieux guerrier" ('se sont pas trop foulés sur le nom n'empêche) puis de la base sous-marine (thème un peu trop court cependant). Merci, c'est magnifique !

Aaaah. Je découvre avec satisfaction que le petit lag sur la confrontation finale a été corrigé. Je me sens mieux ! (Je déconne. J'ai rien été capable de calculer sur l'autre vidéo et je suis incapable de voir la différence.)

J'ai aussi modifié d'autres petits aspects visuels sur ce même morceau, que je regrette d'avoir sorti un peu trop précipitamment. Mais bon ça reste subtil.
