The restoration of the Kontrabass by Gabiel Lemböck (1830-1890), for Damien Eckersley was the inspiration I used to create three additional Viennese style instruments.
Combining Maple from the Alps of German and Spruce from Switzerland, these traditional timbers had been stored for over 12 years before being chosen for this project . Over 3000 hours of work over 4 years in my Atelier, before these instruments where united and played together. Please enjoy this very first musical meeting and christening of one of the 5 string basses.
