I hope you do this for a very long time. Very clear, articulate and understandable. So much clearer than all the double talk on television.

Good forecast. No clickbait fearmongering. Keep on, brother.
I have never heard such clear articulate easy to understand professional forecasts. Thank you Sir for what you do. Amongst the hysteria fake news and idiotic forecasts out there, you are beacon of light and a breath of fresh air!
Thank you for all you do Levi, I have been waiting all day for a video.

I live in Illinois, and happened to stumble upon this channel from the Drudge Report website. This video was very thorough and informative. Well done! Prayers to those in the southeastern U.S., especially Florida.
Thank You Levi I live on the beach in Vero. Your videos are the only comprehensive information on the storm I can find. Thank you!!!

I really appreciate your level of detail in how you discuss these storms and events. You offer an "inside baseball" view of meteorology not offered by most (all?) outlets. It's a good no-nonsense summary of what's going on and while I know you say "not official", you come across as official as it gets - certainly as versed as it gets. Keep it up and thank you.
That was the most in depth and easy to follow report on a hurricane I have ever seen, without all the hand wringing and screaming that news agencies use. Thank you!
Always great quality, and extremely professional. Thank you for all you do Levi!

Levi thx man very impressive, i always use your website when i track storms im from south padre island texas Hurricane dolly 2008 is what got me started loving hurricanes.
You are the standard that all are looking to. Your maps and forecasts are being used by nearly all who “forecast” on KZread. Thank you, Levi for the work you do and for sharing it with everyone.
Been a fan of yours from the start Levi...thanks for your insightful posts. You are now front and center on Drudge...that is quite an honor and you deserve it my friend...keep it up, there are so many of us waiting on your posts during times like this to make sense of it all....many thanks....!!!
Very informative and straight-forward video; much more informative than many official videos thus far, thank you for explaining the changes and uncertainties.
Thank you for what you do. I consult your data models frequently when planning my days and weeks.
I’ve been watching your channel for years. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I’m in New Orleans Louisiana, and Hurricane Katrina and hurricane Rita/05, hurricane Ike, hurricane Gustav/08 still cannot get out of my head. I hope, I hope that we will all be safe no matter where it hits
Thanks Levi . Your attention to detail continues to be a great supplement to the NHC forecast.
Thank you for the insight and great work distilling the overwhelming amount of information out there.
Very well done. Thank you for laying this out so professionally.
We're inland in central Florida but our area took a hit with Irma and the memory of that has folks getting things prepped --- Topped off my gas as I ran errands today and every pump at my local WaWa was packed with several cars waiting for each pump. Fueling up their vehicles and a number were also filling up gas containers for generators. The local markets were only slightly busier than a usual Wednesday afternoon --- Though when I commented on it to a clerks, they said it's been picking up and they're planning on bringing in extra pallets of water and other items in the next day or so. She also thinks the memory of Irma two years ago is on folks minds. Appreciate all your work putting these videos together --- You explain things in a calm manner, clearly and in a way we lay people can understand. Thank you!!
This channel is excellent. I tell all my friends in South Florida to subscribe.
Had to sub, thanks for watching the tropics!!
Just watched another person's vid posted today and twice he put Dorian out in the lesser Antilles. Thank goodness for this channel and your vids!!!!
Thanks for these updates from Daytona Beach
Wow, nice work. I’m subscribing.
great stuff thanks for the upload
Real nice work. Thank you for posting this.
This was fantastic. I’m a former Illinoisan, a recent transplant to central Florida, and this could be my first hurricane. Been preparing, and watching forecasts all day - I want to know EVERYTHING (besides “Publix in Deltona is out of water and bread”...) so thank you for such a detailed overview of the storm! Subscribed. Keep up the great work. 👏👏👏
Thanks for all the great information! We were scheduled to fly into Palm Beach tomorrow for a week and decided to cancel the trip.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Excellent report!
Excellent knowledgeable analysis using the real satellite imagery, not cartoons. VERY much appreciated. Subbed. :))

Oh my Mr. Levi , How Scary & Sad , Love & Prayers for Florida & All Atlantic Coast States In The Path Of Dorian & The Gulf and All States that may be in Dorians projections with land falls ! ! ! What ever the case may be it is looking really bad where ever her projection takes with making a land fall ! God Bless , Take Care ,Be Safe Everyone .... Amen ! 😮😢❤🙏⛈🌬🌀
Amazing explanation
Very good content, I’ve got two daughters in college in southern central Mississippi so we are watching this storm closely.
The European model is usually the right one.
Stay safe to those who are in the path of this storm. Great reporting!
Been waiting for this and here it is. Yesterday models showed it going towards carolinas but now it looks like its going into florida then going north.
Thanks for the info my friend. To all my fellow Floridians, looks like some of us will be in for a wild ride here soon. In Jacksonville myself and hopefully everyone gets prepared.

My go to source for great, detailed information! Thank you! Watching this like a hawk from Northern Broward County. Almost all the models have been too far SW, remember back when it was going to pass W of PR? Never happened... thus the wide cone. At this point landfall could be anywhere on east coast of FL from Jax to Mia. Still need more time and data to narrow it down.
Thanks Levi.

Here to hoping that high in the Atlantic weakens so it goes out to sea. But this will probably be a storm to remember.
So If trends from the recent few years are any indication, this is basically going to hit Jacksonville as a category 8, right?

Nice! Great info and I don't feel like I've been shamed for my effect on the climate.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken the 5 PM update on 08/29 states the following. This is just prior to landfall based on the current update. WINDS AND SEAS VARY GREATLY IN EACH QUADRANT. RADII IN NAUTICAL MILES ARE THE LARGEST RADII EXPECTED ANYWHERE IN THAT QUADRANT. FORECAST VALID 01/1800Z 27.0N 77.7W MAX WIND 115 KT...GUSTS 140 KT. 50 KT... 40NE 40SE 30SW 30NW. 34 KT... 90NE 80SE 50SW 80NW. I interpret this to mean that tropical storm force winds in the SW quadrant are not expected to exceed 50 nautical miles from the storm center. I also interpret this to mean that any locale more than 50 NM south of the currently forecast landfall point will likely not experience any significant winds. That includes most of South Florida south of Lake Okeechobee.
Denis Phillips says the exact same thing. Pass below tampa, head out into the ocean, then landing near Peninsula.
I live in Mobile Al. I am watching it as it crosses over Florida
your exactly what i need!
Drudge brought me here... great video!
Any indications on if Dorian will grow in size? It's so small (that's a good thing...less land to mess up).
... How *VERY* encouraging to see another Citizen Reporter providing straightforward and cogent analysis of potentially dangerous natural events, much like *Dutchsinse's* reportage on earthquakes worldwide. I'm sure I'm not alone in not trusting The Official Bastards as far as I can only *wish* I could throw them.
now at 986 mb per NHC at 11 pm AST notice.
What’s to stop Dorian from becoming like Katrina? Didn’t Katrina have a similar path, and around the same conditions/time of the year?

When Irma raged across Florida and so many lost power, a couple of friends and I would wave them 'Thumbs Up' as they passed by. We were so grateful for all the power companies from all over who had crews waiting to come in and help restore power. They were literally our hero's!

Who would dislike this video?
So far, a pretty accurate prediction.
It looks like the same trajectory as hugo back in the day
Looks like the Euro model is coming more in line with the gfs. We will be sending utility crews from MS as soon as the threat of Dorian making into the gulf is gone.
While this guys is obviously very knowledgeable and well educated on the subject, at the of this video I was less unsure of what was going to happen before the storm even formed, I prefer to hear some predictions than guessing anything can happen
Any information on projected landfall area? Too early?

The track this morning showed a shift northward once Dorian made landfall. Since then the track has shifted further south with a nearly due west path. Hoping we dodge this somehow here in Mississippi.

@@robynwolph3836 chances are extremely high it gets cancelled whether or not its tracking there. Uncertainty is too high to leave it to last minute for people to make proper prep. Major hurricane landfall isn't something you fuck around with.
If this gets into the gulf, watch out.

@@barryreeser4975 Sure did. That's why I said, " Looking like" It's certainly not a certain. I can tell you living here in Central Florida for 20 years, I have seen these scenarios and the hype starts, the products sell and the track shifts. We will wait and see. 👍
It's now Thursday morning, the storm is coming in Sunday, nobody knows where it's going. WTF?
Some news are clear to understand when it is brought to us is layman's term even in today's English language, but 75 % on this report was in high tech language, please speak so we understand where the storm is and where it is heading, what strength it is and what is the predicted strength. All that fancy talk told me nothing I really need to know.
We’re gonna die!!!
I'll confess that this storm may be partly my fault. I haven't been properly recycling my farts like a good little democrat. But I don't plan to so prepare for it to get a lot worse folks.
