    I hate how with DoorDash you have to tap 34 buttons to complete a delivery but to accidently end your dash you only have to tap one (accidently)

    While your video makes sense, it is actually pointless other than to educate everyone outside the US how its better here than over there. The reason being that under the current system, Doordash makes more profit out of the system in the US and the dashers can't change this. Yes, dashers could stop deliveries yet there will always be someone willing to do the delivery, whether it be an existing dasher or someone on another platform coming over because theres no down time since there are fewer drivers available because they are "striking" from Doordash. It can never change because the tipping culture is so ingrained in the US that no one there can even understand how services can work without tipping. I assume all other platforms are the same regarding tipping???

    Your theory is true but not entirely correct because the whole point of tipping is so that merchants can offer lower food prices to customers because their overheads are much lower, making eating out more affordable and restaurants busier. If DoorDash is expecting customers to leave a tip, they should be charging a lower percentage to the merchant, which means lower food prices and in turn, customers not skimping on the tip. Right now they are ripping off the merchant and the drivers, then expecting the customer to pay most of the delivery fee (tip) after they’ve already payed plenty for the food. If the food prices were more reasonable then customers would have a no problem leaving the driver a tip

    The problem is Chris. That now that you have to maintain a high AR. Now the dashers with 15 AR now have 70 they accept probably on average 10 more orders a day. So let's say you had 20 dashers in a zone. Some high AR some low AR. Say there are total 1000 orders a day in the area. That means the average dasher would get sent what 50 offers a day as a cherry picker. I kept my AR high so I would see about 20 to 30 a day. Many that pickers declined. Now the markets are over saturated. Too little offers for that many dashers all accepting 20 to 30 orders a day. If you do not keep your acceptance rate up. You can not dash now. You are lucky to find a spot in the zone cause it's greyed out all day. You now go to only getting maybe one low ball order an hour. But here is the other side. As a high AR dasher you have to take orders. Basically door dash is now fulfilling 70% of their orders instead of averaging only 25%

    The echo chambers don't work here because especially here the strategies that work are completely different not just in different states, or cities, but zone specific. I can drive 15 miles away and if I want to make good money there how I work the app completely changes. People not understanding how radically Doordash shifts not even based off Doordash itself but simply county to county differences like zoning just fuels the dissent and confusion. Simpler way of putting it is no one, absolutely no one online can tell you how to work to best ability in your area. But holy crap do people want to 😂 Most of what you are talking about is found in EBT here, the asterisk is its demonized by many, but also if you happen to like it there is the problem it has very limited slots and typically in areas that pay well its hard to get on regardless of your stats.

    I always tip especially when it's freezing I appreciate all delivery drivers being disabled they are my lifeline but lucky here it's a choice to tip out of hundreds of deliveries I've only had a few issues with drivers .

  • @Stompinwind
    @Stompinwind24 күн бұрын

    American shoppers and delivery drivers see the issues, but when you have next to no regulations, you also get paid way more than we do in America, we can't take an order without a tip 2 dollar trip for uber eats, dd, 5 dollars for instacart(shopping) If we had a 20 dollar minimum wage we would not need tips before. Fyi DOORDASH LOST 400 MILLION DOLLARS. And also FYI AUSTRALIAN FEES ARE SO MUCH HIGHER in comparison. Moving tip to after would not so anything in America except cause more orders to be cold. Because they don't have anyone telling them they need to pay more unless you are in California, Seattle or new york city.

    The costs the gig companies would pay out for cold food to the merchants for a non delivered, or from customer complaints, would force them to shift budget to driver remuneration to stop declines and get drivers to merchants faster. It is risk mitigation on budgeting that companies do when strain occurs. It is cheaper to pay a driver more, than to pay for a cold meal.

    @@chrisbooy what costs do they have to pay for I delivered 3 orders last week all 30 dollars plus for under 5 miles, they were all cold AF the customer didn't even complain were just thankful they finally got there food after 3 hours. All low or no tip, if they had to do that for everyone they would go bankrupted

  • @user-zx9gg4hx8r
    @user-zx9gg4hx8rАй бұрын

    But it's changing soon. Cause now all the dashers who work full time hours are going to other apps. And door dash is stuck with bad dashers who can't find their way out of a wet paper bag. This is the momentum that Uber eats needed to trump doordash.

    The "No tip, no trip" for a Dasher who rejects the offer, will increase his or her risk of getting fired.
