@@remingtonsix5517 Considering that they've been going all "The Galaxy Rangers are not supposed to be around anymore so Acheron's affiliations are suspect" and during the next patch livestream they put a huge emphasis on how much Acheron's abilities were supposed to embody Nihility, I'd say it's not that surprising

I love how Black Swan was taking the initiative and taking the lead, seemingly in control of the dance, until she peered into Acheron and everything flipped and they switched roles. Black Swan went from being the hunter to being the prey in the matter of seconds. This tango between the two was also sooo damn smooth and so good, too!

Black Swan fooled herself into thinking she could tease Acheron with a non-violent engagement, assuming that she could somehow maintain control in the memory scape throughout, that BS could set and maintain the tempo. But the moment she peered into Acheron's memories they clawed back at her mercilessly, never giving her a moment's rest as she became bombarded with the raw darkness and violence that haunted Acheron. Acheron being more reserved and emotionally subdued (and seemingly poor memory) isn't a flaw, its a coping mechanism and result of everything she's done so far.

Acheron's VA (Allegra Clark) said herself that the upcoming trailers were gonna be nothing short of legendary, and I can confirm, it definitely lives up to the hype.

But acting like it's a stupid reason when literally every other language has set the precedent for it to be the same VA is crazy to me. I can understand the disappointment. @@TinkRomero Oh I just realized there was an aeon named Ouroboros in the game. I kinda forgot about that. Sorry, but that's not the ouroboros I was referring to. Well, it is said that Terminus moves backward in time right. Idk, I got this image on my mind of the aeon as a snake which eats its own tail and body, the tail and body is the Time itself, and the Head eating its own body is to ensure each moment got it's intended closure. Ouroboros IRL lore is also connected to time and infinity which kinda fits. Idk, maybe i'm just rambling nonsense here.

I do like the fact that Acheron seemed to not mind, and maybe even enjoy, the dance, outside of the little moments where Black Swan was just a little too pushy. It even fits really well with the way they react to each other. Where Acheron is very nonchalant about it, treating it as a relatively pleasant experience. Maybe even wanting to interact with Black Swan more. But Black Swan literally doesn't mention Acheron outside of when it's explicitly necessary, and even seems nervous and probably a little scared of her. Because that was probably the most terrifying experience of her life.

I believe what BS experienced in that dreamscape of hers is her getting killed again and again as those victims that has fallen to Archeon's blade, such horrible experience, can drive literally anyone into madness with that, BS is still alive because all she wants is to peek into her memory so Archeon didn't consider her as a hostile, If she showed even a tiny bit of aggressive behavior Archeon might have ended her right there.

If we go by the theory that Acheron is the emanator of Nihility, then I think Purple Acheron is a "safe mode" where she has limited access to her memories. Which would explain why she has trouble remembering simple things like what number her room is.

At first I remembered how Black Swan told Sparkle that she already had a dance partner...But man...WTF happened here?! There's a straight explanation for this, but I couldn't care less. Cosmic horror Yuri, here I go!

I think she’s an emanator of nihility. During 8:19 it shows an image of black hole similar to how the aeon of nihility appears to us in simulated universe. It would also make sense if we take Adventurine’s foreshadowing about being an emanator. He listed the hunt and destruction, both paths that revolve around laying waste. The hunt to the abundance and the destruction to… well everything living thing. But there’s another path that involves annihilating everything around. The Nihility, that whether it wants to or not ends up engulfing everything indiscriminately like a black hole.

Makes sense why she doesn't want to draw her blade even when Firefly was about to die because her Nihility emanator powers are probably sealed away inside of that sword. So when she unsheathes her sword, it brings out her emanator powers and since Nihility "engulfs everything indiscriminately like a black hole" like you said, she would end up killing the death meme but also everyone else who was there.

I've thought this too, but IX is said to have no emanators because it thinks everything is meaningless so there'd be no point to spreading their power anyway (there's even a group of people who wish to become emanators of IX by convincing it that life is worth living LMAO). that said, Acheron is also such a unique and mysterious character that I could definitely see IX somehow linking itself to her anyway, if she is indeed an emanator it's for sure for either nihility or finality.

I'm sure the power difference did make them less memorable as well (in all seriousness it likely only took a single attack), but it's established on our first meeting with Acheron that she has trouble remembering things in the first place.

For Acheron the only reason she would be an emanator of anybody else besides nihility is that it's confusing as to why she keeps repeating lines in regards to knowing the end and stuff which basically implies or coincides with the aeon of finality, but her having hazy memories contradicts this since thats a trait "exclusive" to people that have made contact with IX or whats gonna happen to you if you make contact with IX. Dying multiple times/time basically bot making sense and having your memories "corroded" as stated at the lore of the debuff set.

You can see the exact moment Mina got so feral she stopped reading. (The beggining. It was in the beggining. She did not read the title of the video.)

I love story telling like this so much. It tells you everything with just the dance and imagery Show don't tell is always a powerful and expressive way to let you know so many details without needing any exposition dumps.

I think Black Swan danced with Acheron's hand to extract her memories for her to find out what her m.o truly was by making contact with her. You can see at 4:20 something that came out of Acheron's hand, presumably Acheron's memories, But, hey, that's just a theory.
