War Rooster is a cool mod! Glad you came around to showcase it... It's fun, especially during this one time when I decide to pair it with a silent hill inspired wad.. And I haven't even seen all of the weapons yet! I'm technically spoiling myself with greatness here!

Oh man, that sounds like a great combo given the lore! Also, don't worry too much about the spoilers, there's only so much you can hide in a Doom mod. :P You should definitely play more of it so you can find them, they're a ton of fun!

The M1 Garand and the feel of the weapons makes me wish this was a large Scale multiplayer World War II game that combines Hell Let Loose + Battlefield + Wolfenstein + Brothers in Arms. A sort of early 2000's/allied Assault inspired WW2 game

That's an M14, used in the Vietnam War. The Garand has 7 round clips instead of magazines.

In fairness, the Garand-succeeding M14 was very much uncontrollable in full auto, so the mod is totally realistic in that.

Looks amazing. For me the "best" pack of weapons will be: FX-05 or FAMAS G2 (with GL or granade fusil); Blade runner revolver or Lemat revolver (with functional shotgun); The tactical shorgun; Missile launcher, BFG and MP5 or UMP45. But, so far I haven`t seen those kind of weapons.

Try Azuryte or Protocol Disposable. Both have realistic guns for the entire arsenal and a more grounded vibe to them.

I forgot to finish it but I remember making a heavily modded Plutonia playthrough with this. Pretty fun

I'm getting through Plutonian Sunrise with Dark DoomZ, DRLA monsters and Universal Rain and Snow as of replying this comment and it's certainly one of the best combos I've stumbled into. Absolutely beautiful maps with great combat that only gets elevated by War Rooster's gunplay and the extra monsters.

First double shoutgun in a doom mod i see the cannons overlapped

Still kinda miffed that the lore of this mod used to be "what if the Confederacy won the civil war"...

Oh, you're thinking of War *Pigs* and not War *Rooster*. None of that nonsense in this mod, Cosmo even swapped Vietnam for Plutonia to avoid any thorns on that side. :)

I try to avoid political views on my mods as much as i can, so yeah, the mod you're thinking of is called "War Pigs". (such a waste of a good Black Sabbath song...)

Its quite ironic how good some of the secret weapons are. And despite their good chracteristics, only the M3 had a good impression due to the how low cost it was to build it.

Nope, I wouldn't even if I was a modder. Get Slade and look around in Brutal Wolfenstein's file, it doesn't sound like ripping all of its weapons from it is too difficult. You might have to rig up some custom random spawners to make sure all of its weapons can be used in-game, since I never played Brutal Wolfenstein and can only assume some weapons are placed manually in its maps. Best of luck if you do, I recall spending hours wrangling with Decorate and would rather take a running jump off a cliff than doing that again lmao

The altfire for all guns is a melee attack, and vou can select the M14's firemode by pressing Zoom.

Just download it and put it in your GZDoom folder, then drag it onto the exe or add it to your launched of choice. Same as any mod.

Yes! Kill all the monsters in the stage. If you do it 3 times, you can unlock a weapon. Three more times, another weapon... and so on.
