Decino only now sobered up, that's why there's been a small lull in Doom runs

Hello decino. RIP 'N TEAR THE NEW YEAR! As much as I love BTSX 1st Episode, I agree with you. Many of the tech base maps look and feel the same so you get sometimes the feeling you play one big level. It's hard to distinguish them from each other and to memorize them. Okay, it's the character or point of this game to fight your way through a huge complex but it can be confusing for the player. Anyway, a great video of a not so great map but the really good ones still coming. Thanks for sharing. 👍👊🤘❤

MAP11: The Colossus Crawls Back and Forth Looking for Missing Secrets and Monsters, Angrily Smashing to Paste Everything That Gets in the Way.

This wad has some cool level names. I'm pretty literal-minded though so I expected some kind of rolling fortress here

I can't wait to 2030 when I'll have like a hundred megawad decino playthroughs to choose from.

I really liked the beginning of this map, it was very action packed and optimized for berserk :) BTW Decino are you going to participate in the Karl Jobst's challenge? Run e1m1 uvmax under 36s?

Honestly at this point I think decino just wants a mod that replaces every weapon with even more punches so he can punch even more demons.

So satisfying seeing him dominate those demons with his fists!

i like how the barons look much darker red, especially in shadows, in this WAD. also the cacodemons colours are somewhat crispier. and plasmarifles projectiles too!

thats also helpful, because in vanilla doom 2, the hell knights and barons look almost identical in the dark..

Yet another great DooM Punch out edition. 3:30 "how does it feel to get a frag stolen, huh?" Said the Hell knight while grinning. Little it knew Uncle Decino would let his punishment fall over it. Not unscathed although.

Not sure why all the episodes had to be 32(ish) maps long. It's cool and whatever, but I doubt anyone, even the best of the level designers, could keep the same style of level fresh for that long. Even the wads with the best visual design like Ancient Aliens and Eternity mix it up constantly.

The map lacks a memorable encounter or architecture (although the detailing/lighting is top notch for vanilla), there's also very little interactivity with the environment beyond opening doors. The rocket launcher is plonked unceremoniously on the floor and the tight map space makes it a liability to use. For me it's a forgettable corridor crawl which is disappointing because Ed's maps have always impressed me.

Heh, I was immediately like "oh this map, I remember this one."

If you replace everything in BTSX with Quake 2 stuff, it makes more sense. Also, gibbing corpses gives you a break from noticing the non-stop tech base.

I was doing a chainsaw only run with respawning monsters on Doom II Map01 and managed to permanently kill all enemies (by luring them to be crushed by a door) but there is one lonely imp behind bars that can't go anywhere so in the end it was just me and him - he kept respawning, I kept sawing him... over and over, at least a hundred times. :)

I had the original Doom episodes back on DOS in the mid 90s. Let me tell you what, the weird CRT monitor with comparatively awful quality, the low fps and laggy gameplay, and the clunky, oversized keyboard made Doom very difficult to play lol.

Is it just me or when you run towards an enemy with berserk and then you punch him you deal more damage. I see when you run towards and Imp and you punch him he's more likely to gib but if you don't move at all or you move very little they will fall on the ground as always

He set it so the game spawns the amount of monsters that usually only appear when you play co-op, but he’s playing solo 😃

Possibly!

The problem with Saturn X is that they have three different tilesets and they are all excellent quality, but they only use one per megawad so it's 32 maps of the same tiles.

If you think this is repetitive just wait until you get to the "ancient temple" section of the first chunk of BTSX E2. It almost put me off the whole wad.

SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BAN DECINO FROM PICKING UP BERSERK Remember level creators - everytime you put a Berserk Medkit in your map, you directly contribute to heart problems in Doom players because it looks like THIS time Decino's love of punching stuff costed him the run.

Where are these available? Are these just Doom wads, please explain. Im behind in all these newer Doom levels, and I would love to play them.

id Software changed the map names because they were all references to the band Guided by Voices. They didn't want any trouble.

You should you use the doomsday engine to do multiplayer streams cause it is easer to play multiplayer all you need is an IP address and you can leave that in the comments

Just finished this was a few days ago. In a nutshell: -fuckton of revenants for no reason. -ambush everywhere. -disadvantagous elevator where 100 enemies greets you at the bottom. -no tactical, reflexes only. All in all aesthetic design. Boring gameplay.
