This is by far the best version of this. Get the music playing over the entire cutscene and none of the sound effects or dialogue, AND the shotgun pump. Well done.

Have to disagree. 2016's intro had so much more oomph to it, the more guitar-forward mix definitely sounded more powerful. As well as the buildup to it being done with a bass guitar instead of some synth, bass has this feral presence to it, you know?

That's what makes this intro hit. It's the announcement to the player that it's time to kick ass, and also a warning to the demons that their day of reckoning has arrived.

If there's a game-accurate Doom movie, let's get this song as the Intro, as the world is surrounded in fire, and it then cuts to the Doom Slayer, whose face is not revealed as he suits up before it cuts to the DOOM title as the bass drops

if i were to make a game and lore accurate movie, you would hear the faint opening notes at the beginning. then get a full on death metal orchestra cover in the final battle. no guns, no power ups. just Doomguy running in to show that fist are indeed rated E for everyone.

Ahhhhh thanks so much for uploading this clean rip, I've been looking around for one ever since this rendition of the theme was revealed. This has gotta be my new favorite version of At Doom's Gate, it really screams "Doomguy's back". I especially love that little bit at 1:36 that Mick Gordon added, really makes the piece as a whole feel more dynamic, along with some other small additions.

That's actually the reason I love it too! It doesn't feel like a cheaply made move to make it feel "different," it feels like it just enhances an already iconic melody to keep you hooked longer. Mick Gordon did an absolutely stellar job with the soundtrack, but this is by far the best part of it. Absolutely amazing.
