They could have easily made him overly kind guy who quietly follows orders of strangers and patiently waits for them to give him what he needs. Likewise, they could have easily made him overly aggressive and ruthless, like old version of Kratos. He could've killed the people who had what he wanted. Instead they chose the totally right "golden middle" approach. Doomguy knows exactly what he needs to do. He doesn't have time or desire to explain his actions to strangers. But neither does he harm them intentionally. That's great.

@@julianmarco4185 Tough call. Hayden was initially played as some kind of a delusional Betruger type, but then that bounced off of him onto Olivia, and she became the real straight-up evil character. Samuel is similar to the Slayer in the sense that he is cut off from his humanity. I certainly wasn't saying what Hayden did was right, just that his motivation is at least more or less clear.

Doomguy is that one guy at the office, been there longer than anyone in his floor, quietly doing his job. Never promoted, but gets occasional raises. He's got shit to do, and gets shit done. Basically the Janitor and helper. Then comes home, takes care of his pet Rabbit then just calls it a day. Doomguy is such a mood.

I mean you would fear if a killing machinge was walking past you, not to mention UAC scientists are scared because their corrupted corporation want demonic invasion, so they think slayer gonna hurt them because theyre from UAC. Not to mention that they dont know what to do because they dont know if they can easily provoke Slayer into hurting them or not. Even guards act tough because they got their orders but as soon as Slayer arrives they know they should forget about UAC orders and just get the fuck out there
